Which Action Camera Should You Buy? Insta360 X3 vs GoPro Hero 11

Who has tried a 360 camera for action and never turned back? This is the future for all action filmmaking 😊

When you are snowboarding with the x3 do you have the lens guards on? I’m afraid of scratching the lens and permanently ruining every future video but I can’t seem to stop the x3 lens from fogging up when I have the lens protectors on while snowboarding.

In regards to vlogging, can you add your own music or audio track during editing?

Quality image is better on the GoPro, never failed me. Might try the x3 in sometime

The point system is even not totally accurate. Having the invisible stick should be a separate criteria apart from the one mentioned in the video which means X3 should have more points.

You dont need both of them. Just travel and have fun without any gadgets. Take some pictures with your phone and try to live in the moment instead of worrying about these things.

Need to agree with you.. it should serve the purpose to do the "action" stuff and met your desire. I choose to have both😅

I have both and gopro records 100000x better quality. I only use the x3 for 3rd person POV

X3 video quality is absolute dogshit. Maybe it beats a 2010 cellphone camera but that’s about it

Thanks for the video. I'm debating my first purchase of an action cam for an upcoming road race and I was sold on a GoPro until I started to hear about the X3. The appeal of not having to "point" is really tempting with the X3. For some reason I still find it hard to give up on the ruggedness of the GoPro.

I have X3, getting GoPro 11 black. Sorry.. quality of the 360 cam just not good enough for high re films. I only use it for social media.

360 footage needs to be 8-10 k for reframing at a high enough quality.

GoPro 11 by far. I have both.

I bought x3 recently made a sample 360 degree video and upload on Instagram, it turned out the quality is very worse. I exported the video with high bitrate on mac and changed few settings. To be honest I felt Iphone is best in video quality but we are talking about action camera. Anyway, Insta 360 should improve it's quality since it's camera based equipment.

X3 has so much more as a action camera but what's the point if you can't get even one shot normal! Every clip shot on it looks like a curvy ball. Correct me if I'm wrong because I think people are not showing normal footages

Okay but the 360 footage is crunchy and over processed. It looks like old gopro footage. Plus the use cases for the ultra wide 360, even when cropping to a subject, is very action cammy. The fisheye is hideous and distorts everything in the frame.

The only problem with the X3's invisible selfie stick is that you can still see its shadow, which can look weird in certain scenarios (especially to the detail-oriented or OCD sufferers).

How do you think the insta360 would be for filming yourself fly fishing? Obviously you can’t hold the selfi stick at the same time. With my go pro I’ve always used the head mount or chest mount

Oh wow! You compared a 360 camera with a fixed lens compact action cam? And all the winning points are 360 characteristics related? Serious? Isn't this a bit too obvious?

Not really a fair comparison because they are just different cameras and it just depends on what shot and what shot you are trying to get and how you want that shot to look. it is like how people compare iPhones to a red or ari Alexa like the red or ari is just a much better quality camera and that it way they are used for cinema wile the average person would want a small, light camera that they can easily use for capturing whatever quickly and easily, so I think it is more what is suited to what you are shooting then which is better.

Image quality is everything imo.
