Ответитьoh shit i just booked a hotel in kuta lol
ОтветитьBali is a beautiful and popular tourist destination, but like any other place in the world, it has its own set of customs, laws, and safety concerns that visitors should be aware of. Here are 21 things NOT to do in Bali to ensure you have a safe and respectful visit:
1. *Disrespect the Local Culture:* Balinese people are very proud of their culture and traditions. Do not disrespect temples, shrines, or religious ceremonies. Dress modestly when visiting temples and remove your shoes before entering.
2. *Public Displays of Affection:* While Bali is a tourist destination, it's important to be mindful of local customs. Avoid excessive public displays of affection, as this can be seen as disrespectful.
3. *Littering:* Keep Bali beautiful by disposing of your trash properly. There are bins available in most areas, and recycling initiatives are growing.
4. *Feeding or Teasing Wildlife:* Avoid feeding or teasing animals, as it can disrupt the local ecosystem and potentially be dangerous.
5. *Drinking Tap Water:* Stick to bottled water to avoid stomach issues. Even locals don't drink tap water.
6. *Overindulging in Alcohol or Drugs:* Bali has strict drug laws, and penalties for drug-related offenses are severe. Don't put yourself at risk.
7. *Haggling Aggressively:* Bargaining is common in Bali, but be polite and respectful when negotiating prices.
8. *Wearing Revealing Clothing Outside Beach Areas:* Dress appropriately outside the beach or resort areas to respect local customs.
9. *Disrespecting Monkeys:* Bali has many monkeys, especially around the Monkey Forest in Ubud. Be cautious, as they can be aggressive and snatch belongings.
10. *Ignoring Traffic Rules:* Traffic in Bali can be chaotic. Always wear a helmet when riding a scooter, obey traffic laws, and drive carefully.
11. *Swim in Unsafe Waters:* Some beaches in Bali have strong currents and are not suitable for swimming. Pay attention to warning signs and local advice.
12. *Trespassing on Private Property:* Respect the privacy of locals and avoid trespassing on private land.
13. *Ignoring Sun Protection:* Bali's sun can be very strong. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from sunburn.
14. *Disrespecting Local Customs and Traditions:* Learn about the local customs and traditions and show respect by participating or observing without disrupting.
15. *Being Insensitive to Balinese People:* Be polite and respectful when interacting with locals. Remember that you are a guest in their country.
16. *Using Plastic Bags:* Bali has a plastic pollution problem. Bring reusable bags and reduce your plastic waste.
17. *Engaging in Illegal Activities:* Avoid engaging in illegal activities, such as prostitution or drug use.
18. *Being Careless with Your Belongings:* Petty theft can happen, so keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded areas.
19. *Disrupting Coral Reefs:* If you're snorkeling or diving, avoid touching or damaging coral reefs. Be a responsible eco-tourist.
20. *Ignoring Health Precautions:* Stay updated on vaccinations, take precautions against mosquito-borne diseases, and be aware of food hygiene.
21. *Not Negotiating Taxi Prices:* Always insist on using the meter or agree on a price before getting into a taxi to avoid being overcharged.
Bali is a wonderful destination, and by following these guidelines, you can ensure a safe and respectful visit while enjoying the beauty and culture the island has to offer.

Kuta is terrible. Also, don't visit Bali.
ОтветитьYoure a great story teller 😊
ОтветитьConstant excessive hand gestures & waving weird camera positioning distracts viewers from the message
Ответить#7 "Do not stay in Kuta" is a personal and false representation of Kuta (Seminyak, Kedongana and Legian). In Kuta there exists family life, shopping, dining, beaches, and nightlife. All of Bali has its existence of "dirty" and whether the sordid presence of "trade hustling" is low-end or high-end - - - yes, it exists in Kuta, Kuta Utara, etc.
The best advice is to visit and travel the island for your own perspective and to be evidently aware that although IG and influencers present it to be "paradise", Bali is an island with human beings of all calibers (good, bad, & the hustling) visiting and residing here. Keep an open mind and enjoy what you encounter to learn and love of your experience.
About the taxis ... Blue Bird taxis are very reliable, do not rip you off and are extremely safe. I´m often in Bali on my own and have never lived a negative experience with the Blue Bird company taxis. The company itself has signs inside the car asking people to report any negative experience and the driver is identified by name and number and they always take the shortest route to your destiny.
ОтветитьGreat info 🙏
ОтветитьThank you for all the useful tips and for not wasting time with small talk.
ОтветитьBest video on tips in Bali I've seen so far. Thanks for making something that's so helpful.
ОтветитьBest place to stay if not Kuta?
