Can he walk on those 👠 heels while playing those heavy Gibson LP?
ОтветитьHeavily influenced by warren Haynes
ОтветитьDoes he mention what pickups is in the strat? Could only hear him say the bridge one is original.
ОтветитьI liked his tone with everything except the tube screamer
ОтветитьMesmerising player and all-round funny guy! Could watch him for hours
Ответитьgod damn! his playing is just so 🤌
Ответитьthey all got allergies at that show? 😂 snif snif
ОтветитьBig fan, watched him during COVID at a drive thru. I don't know about the brown Twin he refers to as far as taking out the transformer...maybe a blonde one? But why take out the transformer from a rare amp?
ОтветитьI always thought Marcus was short for some reason... then I seen how small that strat looked when he picked it up 😂😂
Ответитьgot an email from a mate in indiana "y'gotta check out the marcus king band - he and the band are fantastic". he let me know cos he heard they were town (melbourne) and i hotfooted it to book tickets - and saw the band last night. WOW... what a gig!
ОтветитьSaw him in Byron Bay Bluesfest (Australia) last Saturday. Kingfish was there, Eric Gales was there, Buddy Guy the legend (now 86) was there, and so was Joe Bonamassa; among other great players. It was a night full of great music. It was fun!!!
ОтветитьI feel like an idiot but what is that Baker Street reference with the fuzz pedal?
ОтветитьNice. Marcus is super talented. That LP Custom looks and sounds killer. I wish John would have asked Marcus more questions about the guitar: where did he find that 58 body, why a replacement neck was needed, which pickups are now mounted, why he decided to move the strap button to the back...I would have used the entire episode only this guitar, ah, ah.
Ответить"Do you use the Varitone at all? No, it looks cool though." lol Best comment I ever heard about those Varitones is that one position sounds like the guitar, one position sounds like BB King, and the other four positions sound like sheet!
ОтветитьYou can tell he’s tired during this interview he stays running
ОтветитьIs there a more charming man in the world? This guy's a gen-u-wine country boy through and through and one hell of a player. I hope he thinks about getting healthy soon. We cannot lose Marcus King.
ОтветитьGreat player and a super humble kid. Love it
ОтветитьLoved it! Marcus is my favorite. I just love his sound and style and he just seems like a heck of a guy to boot.
ОтветитьAmerican made amplifier... that's a UK amplifier
ОтветитьAmazing dude. I just discovered him and his music. I’ve recently heard the cover of crazy by gnarls Barkley, sounded like he had fela kuti as his backup band. Blew my mind, check it out!
ОтветитьI ordered that Tru-Fi fuzz after watching this video and it is the REAL DEAL
ОтветитьSuch a nice young man :) Obviously intelligent..good chap. Best Regards John and Marcus!
ОтветитьIt's amazing the musical content that is displayed just in this rig run down.
Ответитьi think his southern charm adds to his whole old school ambience, seems like a solid dude, that 58' gibson at the beginning is a beauty
ОтветитьTo those that have yet to see Marcus Kings live you need to. The man absolutely shreds. From the MKB to his solo stuff. Him and his band melt your brain every time!
ОтветитьHe plays fantastic. But the tone here is really bad.
ОтветитьLiterally SRV 2.0. His demeanor, humbleness, insane guitar chops, soulful voice and killer song writing hasn't been seen since we lost Stevie. One of the best musicians alive right now and he's young. Looking forward to decades of Marcus King
ОтветитьReal old school, amazing talent 👌👌
ОтветитьI saw him at stubs in Austin Texas a month ago and he killed it, extremely clean player even tho he was drunk or high idk LOL
ОтветитьGood times, good people, good rockin' thanks folks
ОтветитьHe also plays a Tele.
ОтветитьDidn’t know what Marcus King was like before this. Dope guy
ОтветитьWhat a class act!
Ответить"Scofield in a box"...I have major respect for the young king
Ответитьbandmaster?
Ответитьone of my fav guitarist.. great tone.. great skill.. great handling guitar's on stage fan from malaysia..
ОтветитьMan has some chops. Props to you Sir.
ОтветитьMarcus, cool dude, and what a player.
ОтветитьWhat a monster talent! Long may he shred.
ОтветитьI love the “I only played on my dad and g dads old guitar” then “here’s my g pas guitar” pulls out a Gibson Es-335
ОтветитьStud. Top notch dude.
ОтветитьReally surprised at home much I enjoyed this.
ОтветитьThis guy is really knowledgeable usually but he's like theres no 60 cycle hum meanwhile the that is humming and fizzing like a motherfucka.
ОтветитьI love the fact that he wanted to call it MK Ultra. Dark history addressed with dark humor. “Still got the hieroglyphics on there man” made me laugh out loud. Never understood that stuff on oranges. This dude is old school down to earth.
Ответить“Scofield in a box”! 👍🏽
ОтветитьIs this the guy that does the NBC NASCAR opening?
ОтветитьMan! I am so bummed out! I have missed seeing this huge talent 3 times now! The last time it was due to having Plantar Fasciitis!!!! Marcus hope to see you in Boston again! I definitely have to meet you! Like your setup! You have a great sound! Like yourself, I am chasing the ultimate tone sound with my setup!!
