EEUUWW!!! 1/3 C of High Flo Titanium White? Not sure I could ever bring myself to pour off that much $$ as a back ground color! But WOW did you ever get some fantastic results. No kidding, it is simply gorgeous! I love Dutch pours but have had only 2 successful in a little over a year. A lot of people are re-visiting a could pour again though with varying styles. I think Dwight Pours and Sara Taylor have had enormous success with their styles as they get that webbing effect which is really beautiful and you were able to achieve that beautifully. I'm not sure I can ever bring myself to spend that kind of money on a color that isn't really a color at all. I remember in jr. high taking art and studying theory of color and was flabbergasted learning that the color you see is the color that isn't when the exact opposite is what seems to be the reality. We kind of think of white as being the absence of color rather than all the colors combined together and what you see is the color reflected. I'm not sure I still understand that. Anyway, all that to tell you that your painting is so pretty and I love Dutch pours where the edges are just left alone unless they haven't been blown out and are still puddles up or remain in a line. Some say they are taking the hard edge away but that's the part I like. Regardless, I don't think it would have made any difference in your painting because your white paint simply swallowed up the edges and made them like a net thrown over the colors. So, so pretty.

I succeeded yesterday something similar for my sister, and she did not liked it , I was sad about it, as I scrapped once... and obviously I was influenced by your beauty! This is my second view, so much I love it!

I achieve that with only amsterdam paint yellow in my ribbons, but I had white mixed with masterdam black to achieve grey for my base colour, and it had a similar reaction to yours...

Try Golden Gac 800... I am a starter, 10 paintings only (Dutch Pour), but nothing cracked on me at all, not even on overpainting on the same canvas using water and floetrol in my paints... For this cloud, and the puddle mixture use Gac 800, as I've seen other artists use it for it, perhaps it will help you.

You show your recipe at the end with only white paint. What is this used for? The pillow? How are your paint colors mixed?

Hello, Lisa. Here's a question that I need, desperately, an answer; What's Cloud Mix??? Is it another name for the base coat? if it's not, what's the use of it?
Sorry, for my naive questions, but there're so many names out there, it's really confusing especially for me, dare I say? amateur painter... (I don't even consider myself as an one lolol).
