He needs to have his own show! He can just talk and talk about nothing and I would listen to every word!

This was mostly rumors. Ray was a movie character made about the deep state pretending to be me to try to take over my life. I Navy seal who killed himself trying to impersonate me and a different foreman in the television tower industry working with my crew when they died.

Me? I started doing the work in 2001 and I never lost a man.

Raymond Reddington is an embodiment of everyone. The dark side, the unsaid side of us, that doesn't see the light of day.
He is what we don't like being. What we fear showing the world, and what we only perceive as flaws in ourselves.
But Raymond isn't afraid pf it. He wears it on his sleeve and becomes himself for the world.
He is a cheat, a liar, a clever and shrewd man, but his intentions never harm those who come in his confidence.
Life has thrown so much at Raymond, so much turmoil, so much injustice, and yet he perseveres as what he his. His honest self.
At one point while watching the show, I questioned myself, "Why are you sympathising with Raymond? Isn't he the one causing havoc in Keen's life? He is making an innocent woman suffer, for reasons he refuses to divulge information about."
But whenever asked about what he has to offer, and why he does what he does, there is a look in his eyes. A look of conviction, fear, and caution.
A warning to them, to not cross a line that has only pain and confusion on the other side. A line he will draw for only those he respects and cares for.
The burden Raymond carries, the baggage that he has on his shoulders, I would not wish that on anyone.
Only someone as courageous, disciplined, moral and convinced as Raymond could dare to be so naked about his self. Every one else; Cooper, Keen, Aram, Ressler, they all restrain themselves from being honest. But Raymond's maturity is what resolves everything. Every case is like a test for the Task Force, to make them meet a side of themselves that only Raymond can see, and sense, and he is slowly equipping them with the courage and resilience to face the final act of his revelation.
To me, Raymond Reddington is humanity at its crudest form.
Unapolegtic, frank, vulnerable, honest, and optimistic.
Raymond Reddington is one of the greatest TV characters to exist. I am glad I sat down in 2017 on a fine weekend with my father to catch a random episode of this classic show.

So fundamentally beautiful, so much passion. Such a perfect character played by S tier actor of the tippy top caliber they best. He is devil in slick and a glass of fine wine that dealerly loves to do good buy the worst means possible

Is no one going to talk about The Black List ended without telling us who Raymond really was and what he meant to Elizabeth?? I mean….. the show was good and all but there is this nagging feeling that the show didn’t end the way it was supposed to

Raymond Reddington was... The last cinema figure that touched my soul after a long time... In a way i thought I would never felt ever again... At some points even the plot didnt cared to me... I just wanted to hear the knowledge of a man who understands darkness and light at the same time... I will be honest I think the show had a different way that everyone expected... Cause all the other actors decided to "die" to go out for other projects, covid also interrupted many things... The death of many other actors from the show... But... I think this serie deserved a better end... Raymond Reddington just commited suicide that is the truth... Abandoned Agnes for the good... It was just... He just gave up everything he builted... He could have just created something before ritiring... "The blacklist force" I just dont know.... Sudently... Nothing had since after the death of Lizz... The existence of the show, the force task, the blacklist itself... Raymond just came back for revenge, and lost everything again... And decided to put an end to his misery... That is the truth... He gave up... Suddently... Barring his own creation from years... I mean... Jezz... He could just... Used the (spoiler) truth raymond reddington remains to forge his own death... It would be the best retiring... Something like that... I just didnt like the way it ended it... Anyways... It was sublime... althought i was expecting more...

James Spader in the Blacklist was absolutely incredible!! His character Raymond Reddington is probably my favourite and most fascinating character I have ever seen watching television. Despite his criminal background and persona, he had an incredible personality!! He was so charming, compassionate, intelligent, funny, flamboyant and with so much wisdom. His storytelling was always so fascinating!! His work and friendship with his onscreen character, Dembe was pure magic!!
I loved the series so much that the ending of the series moved me emotionally. Well done James Spader and the creators of the series.

I am still in awe of this TV series. The performance of James Spader is really more art than anything else. The dilemma is now that the show has ended, the void which has been created by it will be nearly impossible to fill. Thank you for these years, it really feels like loosing an old friend ❤️

to me, personally. Raymond Reddington is James Spader himself. No one can go near him in depicting such unique, charismatic, enigmatic character of Raymond Reddington.
