Hi Dean. In the payment section of your video you mention that only authors in a number of countries (which you mention) can receive payment from KDP. This was a bit confusing to me, so I went to the KDP page and checked, there is a long list of countries that supports EFT (aka direct deposit). Did I misunderstand this part of the video, did Amazon update the list recently, or does that relate only to KDP Select? (I currently live in Lithuania btw.)

Worse experience ever. Do not publish your hard work with Amazon. Hard to get payment and cover design tool is crap.

Great job on covering the KDP. It's my platform of choice for ebooks - had to go with Findaway Voices for audiobooks. Will definitely check more of your content.
I'm especially interested in the details on marketing the books and how to deal with reviewers. So far I've only discovered that if you want to give your book out to review, you have to gift it through the Amazon page. Maybe there are some other ways?

I wish so much that I had never given my book away on Amazon KDP. Amazon gives my book away for free to read on Kindle unlimited and I am paid nothing. I've found it impossible to change the content correcting a few minor mistakes that I made when I uploaded it. All and all. DON'T DO IT!

Hey Dale, thanks for the video. You mention that the customer pays the printing cost of books sold but also that publisher's royalties are minus printing costs. So actually the publisher pays the printing cost (from their royalties)?

f I wanna make a personalized children's book website. Just like wonderbly. Is there any good and cheap place I can get my unique books printed, handled and shipped for a somewhat low cost? Places like ingramspark with 25 bucks if you change anything in your uploaded file or 49bucks for a new upload. So I'm hoping there is a service that can make each book with a little variation and still for a low cost.

What people don't realize if you have a short story or short read what many may call and you are selling it at 2.99, 1.99 or even 99 Cents.
Amazon price per click may take you over $20, $30 or even $40 before you even make a sell.
Now you spent over $20 and made a profit of $1 or $2.

More pages a book have the better off you are on Amazon. Because now you can charge a nice price and profit. I know from experience and having a few books out. Having a short story for $2.99 its not even worth running ads. Its all a game on Amazon.

My ebook has pretty much been nonexistent. I take responsibility for not going 100% into Dale, but also went in thinking I wouldn’t really hit the US market (Canadian here).

That said. Paperback did okay in my area. Hope to add more.

I am eyeing the North Street Book Prize you endorsed last year. Is that not possible if my ebook is in select?
