I've got crossfade bound to scroll rip

Console player here, um I kind of struggle with varying lateskim. Anybody have any idea what the grace period is to vary it when jumping. Also any console Lucio player know how to gain complete control over lateskiming.

I’ve been playing with auto jump on and changing it to no auto jump is the hardest change I’ve made in overwatch 😭

Ok, I'm gonna sound really dumb, but I only have 13 hours on Lucio, and 200 in the game, so please, bear with me. I've tried changing the settings like you suggested, but there are a few that do not appear in your list for wall riding, especially "wall ride takes movement into account" (sorry, these are translations, I'm French). What would be the settings for this one ? I don't understand what it does exactly. Also, I've deactivated wall jump on release, and... I don't understand when you have to jump. Either I stay "stuck" to a wall, or I lose all momentum when I leave it. I've tried jumping all the time, or only once, or twice at the last moment, and nothing seems to work. Should I hold the space bar (for wall riding) all the time ? It's also bound to jump (and I also have jump on the scrolling wheel). And finally, how do you manage to "stand still" while wall riding ? My Lucio is always moving, and I can't seem to find a way to stand like "spider man" like you do when firing. I know, it's a lot of questions, but if anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it ! Good video, but this isn't in fact updated to 2024. There are new Lucio settings that are far more robust.

L1 is way better than L2 to jump on controller, you can put more clic per second with L1. L2 you have to press it all the way down and let it go all the way up

I tried turning "walljump on release" off and Lucio feels like he has cinder block shoes. I'll have to practice with this more.

Why is there no option to hold for crossfade for lucio? I used to have it and it is FAR superior to toggling on heal speed

It’s so hard for me to turn off wall jump. It’s like having training wheels. You can do more without training wheels but man does it make life easy lol

I am a lucid main and for controller I find it much easier to turn on the setting that makes you jump when you let go of jump on a wall

For console peeps switch ur jump to left trigger and boop to ur main select button (x, a, b for switch)

this is probably the most uselful video ever made for learning lucio, 1 tip for people learning though, definitely use scroll wheel as a secondary jump button but if you find scrolling down (towards you) hard try switching it, you might find it easier, i find it easier to scroll up (away from me)
i might have up and down the wrong way round but you get the idea

I turned off jump automatically and its so much easier to wall ride consistently

my scroll wheel is already bound to another 😭ill still try to bound it to jump and see tho

Just figured out I've been subconsciously null jumping during my current Lucio phase. Never played him before the space event going on but since it started ive been playing him non stop

wall jump on release is such a pesky setting. Had it on and absolutely struggled to do rollouts on lijiang tower. They really always make the worst settings be on by default.

You don't play with controller do you, it's extremely important to change the controls on Lucio on controller so you can actually aim while wallriding.

the only problem im having is i cant jump with space anymore it just makes me fall down immediatly

I don't understand how to use the scroll wheel? Should I mainly use spacebar and only use scroll for the short walls and b hops?

What happens when you scroll fast for the bhops?

I like how a big thing in this guide is "to have fun while practicing wall riding". Makes me wanna stick to practicing a bit more, since while it'll be frustrating at first nailing sick movements will feel really good haha.

the wall reattach time is exactly 0.5 seconds according to the wiki

I used to be a Lucio MAIN, but after ow2 dropped he stopped feeling as good. I had NO IDEA they may wall jump on release a thing. Thanks for hard checking my sanity.
