Just a note: Remarkable just announced the general roll out of firmware 3.0. So it's no longer in beta, as mentioned in the video.
ОтветитьBest way to read!!!!
ОтветитьBummer, got used to the light on my paperwhite and cant go back.
ОтветитьSince there are people - like me - that only need a note taking instrument (not a tablet), remarkable sounds nice Also everyone says that the writing experience is excellent. But also taking notes means to easily scribble on pdfs, word documents etc and other different types of books, thus the easily access to everything is vital, why pay for mailing services, why there is no light.... I am really confused about this device. Nice review.
Ответить... Also it is possible to connect to the remarkable via ssh and access a minimalistic Linux. During classes I run a webserver on my remarkable to share documents. Very nerdy.
ОтветитьThanks for the comparison. As a teacher, I also like the "Share Screen" feature of the remarkable. So I'm able to mirror the remarkable on my Mac or PC while presenting. Nice when adding notes to PDF.
ОтветитьYou basically compared a piece of sh*t with the Kindle Scribe.
ОтветитьThanks a million for the immediate answer at the beginning of the video. Greatly appreciate that! Thumbs upped and subscribed.
ОтветитьGood comparison, thank you.
ОтветитьSubbed on the basis of this one very complete and insightful, and succinctly presented review! Great value for the community! After much deliberation (and an imperfect decision to first get the Boox Nova Air 2 Plus), I just received my Kindle Scribe yesterday, for 1) mainly a better reading experience than on my otherwise beloved Kindle Voyage, and 2) simple notetaking (to-do lists, song ideas, etc.). I also considered the Remarkable, and it might have won if the weakness you pointed out here had finally been alleviated by, say, a new „Remarkable 3“ device with lights, better eBook/Kindle reading, etc. End of story: The Scribe is precisely what I had hoped it would be, and your review covers all the bases, including the all-important in-the-hands-feel of it (without case in my case, since I prefer it that way, and just use a felt sleeve for storing it). The lights are a godsend, and the writing experience is very satisfying. Incidentally, there now IS a lasso tool for the Scribe (check out the latest firmware if you haven‘t already).
ОтветитьPlease help: I have low vision. Can you tel which read has the biggest letters on max.fonz size?
The Kindle Scribe or Remarkable or Kobo 10.2?
I just learned that the Kindle Scribe is just pumping more wors on one screen, keeping the letter size similar or identical with the standard Kindles... Good video. Greetings
Thanks for putting a summary up front, I wish I could like the video twice!
ОтветитьCan I open pdf files on kindle scribe?
ОтветитьGiving this video a thumbs up because I got what I needed in the first few seconds.
I want to gift this to someone and they're more of a writing person so that info made it easy to decide, thank you. ♥️
You drew a weird looking house there! (just joking!)
ОтветитьMan, I love the T-shirt and starfleet badges on the wall, as well as poster. So cool to see another Star Trek fan. : )
ОтветитьVery comprehensive review. I subscribed to your channel and plan to start binge-watching your videos tonight. I have problems with diminished eyesight and was wondering if you might have some Kindle readers that I should consider. Thanks for a great video.
ОтветитьSuch an incredible video!
Thank you so much!
Both are overpriced and a subscription for this kind of product is just idiotic... Looking at you remarkable.
ОтветитьBeware, as the new Kindle Scribe update comes with a bug where you are forced to restart it when it tries to wake up. It’s prone to just going blank.
ОтветитьToo bad they didn't add a physical button on the side of the Scribe, like on the Kindle Oasis
ОтветитьThanks Chalid, I've watch this a couple of times :) I love both and WANT both, but wish they were a little cheaper!
ОтветитьI did not understand, if i synchronise (my designs, draws etc) the Kindle Scribe with my Macbook, in wich format am I gonna watch it? Only pdf?
ОтветитьYou earned a new subscriber for been honest and straight to the to point just at the first beginning.
ОтветитьActually giving a straightforward answer in the first few minutes of the video? Respect.
ОтветитьExcellent, in depth and concise review. Many thanks.
ОтветитьI have ended up with an iPad, MacAir, Remarkable 2, Amazon Scribe and some older Kindle readers. I use this collection for work and home. As there is no perfect device, I look at these as all part of a tool kit and you simply cannot have enough tools. As for the comparison in question I find the front lit screen of the Scribe a big advantage for my needs. However, I have even found uses for both the Remarkable 2 and the Scribe during the day. Secretly, I also keep a pad and pen nearby. Great review, by the way.
ОтветитьVery thorough review. It helped me make a decision, so I appreciate the time and energy you put into the video. Danke!
ОтветитьI think you forgot to mention the subscription fee that comes with remarkable
Ответитьwhat is the best
onyx boox note Air2 Plus
Or
Onyx Boox Nova Air C ??????
I'm just curious, but is it possible to use the Kindle Scribe Folio with the Remarkable 2
ОтветитьGood review but having a hard time understanding with your thick accent 😕
ОтветитьPicked up two Scribes for my wife and I. They had a great deal taking off $40 for the pair and I also got addition percentage off with trading in an old Kindle including a $60 gift card. Made it much more affordable.
ОтветитьWould you mind doing an e-reader tier list video?
ОтветитьThe lack of the front light makes me side with the scribe.
ОтветитьExcellent and very informative video as usual! This channel deserves a lot more subscribers! 👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI could see the latency clearly on Remarkable 2!
