I value you option most. Please tell me the complete process for painting a wrought iron fencing. We had it galvanizes and it needs some sanding where the drips if galvanized happened. We have S W. Emerald paint for finish coat.
ОтветитьNice video. You should try the Masking Master as a masking tool!
ОтветитьC’est bien trop long pour rien de masquer une chambre déjà aménagée pour peinturer au spray gun. Plus rapide au pinceau pour le découpage puis au rouleau
ОтветитьPainting is one activity that I avoid whenever possible. But I have great respect for painters, because they do a difficult job. In this case, the painter is showing people how to choose the correct kind of masking tape. So I was wondering if it would be possible to make an adjustable masking tape dispenser. A plastic frame would hold three identical rolls of one-inch wide masking tape, next to each other. So you could pull on one roll of masking tape, to get a one-inch wide piece. Or you could pull on the end of two rolls of masking tape which would get joined together by a little roller. That would give you a two-inch wide piece of masking tape. (almost). Or you could pull on all three rolls to get a three-inch wide piece of masking tape. (almost). That would give a painter more options.
ОтветитьVery few "tips," no detail, but lots of "buy this via my links" garbage and some vague common sense stuff that anyone would guess. Waste of 10 mins! 🙄
ОтветитьTell pp about the three finger pull when you start your first pull, using masking film.
ОтветитьPros don't tape that much ...
ОтветитьWhen spraying walls/trim, how much of the ceiling do you mask off? The whole ceiling or just a few feet around the edges of the room?
ОтветитьThanks for the great videos! I have a question for our current project. We are finishing our basement and have walls painted, and just installed primed trim. Would the best order be to caulk all of the trim edges and spray trim, then after trim has dried tape line using caulk to cut in wall color? Also wondering if it is okay to spray the trim without masking the wall right above it (having some over spray on the wall right above) or do we need to mask the trim line before painting the trim as well? Thanks for your help!
ОтветитьThe idaho my mentor. I came to so many understanding and process in my painting. You are indeed a good teacher and you have really help me improve a lot in my painting. Every painter needs a good teacher like you👊
ОтветитьSo which is it? Freehand or tape? I'm about to hire a painter who doesn't tape. I want straight/clean lines. I keep hearing the "pros" are able to do it freehand.
ОтветитьIf you have scotch tape immediately throw it away then buy the frog tap frog tapes the only tape we use
Ответитьdo you clear caulk all the masked edges before painting?
ОтветитьVery bad sound and no closeups. Can see what he's doing but not how in detail.
Ответитьso cool
ОтветитьHey guys I got KLG EVE 800 air sprayer . But I need a bigger container to hold paint a least 1 gallon. Where can I get one?
ОтветитьDo you tape of rooms everytime you paint walls?
ОтветитьYou're getting better with these common-sense tips....
ОтветитьQuestion: if you don't take the blinds down, how do you manage to paint the sides of the wall there without getting paint on the blinds?
ОтветитьAre those drop cloths water proof? Can I just cover the floor with plastic??
Ответить3m blue tape has two sides. Its offset so the cardboard sticks out on one side. Thats the side you run on the wall and puts your tape on the wood with a perfect line no matter how crooked the wall is.
ОтветитьI Cant believe this supposed pro would tape anything in this room. Unless this is advice for Sunday afternooners, this is ridiculous. Pros don't tape. Period.
ОтветитьI always thought you said this is “the crazy Idaho painter” lol 😂
ОтветитьJust put the dan tape on
ОтветитьI have a side job that has a hallway with 5 door frames and a stair case that leads into the basement. Ill have to spend at least 2 hours taping.
Can i go to the job the night before and start taping?
A painter who doesn’t know how to use a 3M hand masker is doing it wrong and is most likely a apprentice
It should be quick and right and done already
Much respect brotha! I appreciate all your tips and tricks 🤙🏾
ОтветитьYou know what? Chris is the name of the painter who taught me how to paint.
So then I will return the favor and teach you!🤣🤣🤣
Just having fun good job buddy
You're the best
I freaking love this guy....👍 although you know the boss is going to chew your ass using all that extra tape to cover baseboard.
Here's how I like to do it.🤔
Take your paper off your masking machine hold it in your hand now connect it to the original piece of tape by Rolling it between the sticky side of the tape and the face of the baseboard.
It is more efficient than it sounds.
Tip of the day.
Nice
ОтветитьQue buen video amigo BENDICIONES
ОтветитьTrying to figure out the masking with caulk. If I mask/caulk, and then edge -- I have to remove the tape before it dries. BUT removing it before it dries means that I can't get two coats on the wall....so I have to "remask" to protect the baseboard/carpet from drips. How does that work?
ОтветитьI'm painting a lot of the interior of my house, I'm finding that the blue tape I'm using is pulling some of the fresh paint of the walls when I tape to do my trims. I'm leaving the walls approx three days before I tape for the trim and I'm removing it as soon as possible after painting the trim. What can I do differently to save touching up the walls afterwards
Ответитьwas this your first time on meth?
ОтветитьIf the molding/casing edges aren't smooth and tidy carefully sand the fillet with sandpaper wrapped around a section of paint stick or a 4" putty knife blade to work down bad spots. Holding the paper mostly against the wall. You're not trying to sand down the paint too much. Clean up those nibs and blobs that mess up your paint line when tape is pulled. I use a damp rag to clean the tops of the moldings next. Dries fast or you got it too wet. Hold the tape roll against the wall. That usually gives the cut you're looking for. Never tear your tape midway between corners. Some of my secrets for super crisp lines without any paint sneak unders.
Pro guys, remember the 3M blue tape with orange label? How it would fall off the wall during the job? Frog solved that problem thank the Lord!
Muy buenos videos, has considerado un programa para traducirlos al español y llegar a más personas? Saludos
ОтветитьAre you suggesting that you don’t cover the whole floor with drops? After taking the trouble to completely empty the room, you throw down a couple of 15x12’s and call it a day.
ОтветитьTaping is wack! Cut it in with a good brush and save time and cash!
ОтветитьMan, I had done a good job at cut in lines on the wall along the ceiling, then I put cheap masking tape around the top so I dont mess up my nice paint job. After finishing the ceiling I removed the tape and tons of bleeding, so I had to redo the cutting at the top of the wall. I always thought frog tape is too expensive but i guess its worth it.
ОтветитьHey Idaho paint Heudiny,
How about a video on tapes?
Lay down"safe" to take off clean times, safe coverage times?
2 days? 3 days? 1 day? 19 hours 5 minutes? The price of blue/green taping everything could kill every profit. Is the white painters tape as clean up friendly at 1/2 the price?
good tips,preparation is important
ОтветитьWhat do you do about the ceiling? If the ceiling is white and the wall is a different color? How do you not paint the ceiling if you are spray painting?
ОтветитьThis keeps the splatters from off the baseboard on top of the baseboard when you role the wall out so you don't have to go back and touch the baseboard up some people call it the mopboard to
ОтветитьThe yellow frog tape works the best the yellow tape sticks to everything
ОтветитьI’ve been painting for 24 years and I’m still learning from pros like you awesome thanks
Ответитьremove switch and outlet plates, then youre ready to roll the wall
ОтветитьNo one heard of cutting in... skirting tape fair enough to avoid roller splatter
Do Americans even have training for painting or any form of apprenticeship etc
so i take it you are not very good at cutting in
ОтветитьI have learned quite a bit about home decorating from your video's so thanks for posting all quick and easy to follow so a big thumbs up well done
ОтветитьThanks Chris for the tips. Montanan here.
