If I told my principal or my teachers than all they would do is say "ok I will handle it" but they never do. We can try but they won't handle it.

I need a ride out of Sacramento, CA to my house. This family seems to like it here. They aren't going with me.

In middle school I went to youth group from 6th to 8th grade. I wasn't the best kid, but in 7th grade I was bullied pretty mercilessly physically and mentally. I always told my mom and she said I was being too sensitive, and the youth group leaders not only did nothing about it, but very likely encouraged it behind my back. I eventually stood up for myself in 8th grade and cause I became the crazy town vandal kid for a while they stopped doing it to my face but still did it behind my back. I gave my life to Christ at 16, and I'm 21 now and let's just say none of them even kind of believe in God it seems, have all gone off the rails, and they're all very frightened to even speak to me now. And I wanna add to that that same church didn't forgive me to this day since I stood up to them and called them out on their bullshit. It's painful, but I'm very glad I found God loves me a lot unlike what they told me and that I can be me whenever I want and that he will forgive me and stay by. Remember youth group leaders, seriously don't encourage the youth to bully each other, remember Jesus called out the Pharisees the harshest not the lost people. And I'm sure he would do the same today.

This video taught me to try to stand up for others. I once stood up for a girl and a boy pushed her down, so I stood up for the girl, I told my parents and I had a feeling that I did the right choice.

Bullying is horrible. I have overcome that which happened to me and deeply regret any I have done. I look forward to apologizing for all evil I have done.

Lets be honest. Church bullies are a big reason people stop going. As an LDS convert I can attest we got wimps in our local church leadership who let it happen because of favoritism towards some members. It takes real guts to stand up to such bums. They need to read James 2:1-8. Thanks for this important lesson Elder Uctdorf.

I have a friend currently going through this with his peers whom he works with...it is so horrible when it happens to someone by people you can't easily influence for good.

Bullying will always make you have depression, but it wont always happen if you stand up for your self.

Bullying is not okay towards anyone

I used to think the hardest part for me would be to stand up to those who persecute me, it is so easy to give in to my anger and to act on it. Now I realize the hard part for me is to pray for and forgive those who persecute you especially when they do something that makes you resent them deeply. I'm worried that the next time I'm bullied, I do something that God doesn't want me to do and I'm too angry to think about it.

I get the point the video is making, but I could not help but notice that the main kid who bullied the girl(the one who took the photo and shared it on social media) LITERALLY does not apologize and pretty much gets away with it. The only thing I feel from here is great resentment to the main bully.

Excellent message from Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf; unfortunately the dramatization is full of confusing elements: why is Jessica racially or ethnically different from her brother? Where are their parents during this emotionally trying time? And why are every last one of the bullies White males? If The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that everyone of every race and ethnicity are children of God, then why cast this dramatization in such a way as to single out one race, and only males, as being those that need to not bully others?

A wise man (Oscar Wilde) once said: "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." I guess you shouldn't be looking to annoy your bullies, but you should always forgive them. The best way to get rid of them is through kindness. Maybe you can even turn them into your friend. There's also a movie that goes along with this. It's called the Christmas Project. It's a great family movie that teaches about forgiving others. It's clean, entertaining, and funny :)

Perhaps we should bring the twelve steps into the schools and society to clean up our acts.

I was being always humiliated by a girl in my school but the time when I stopped giving attention to her actions and to her, things started changing and now I am at peace in this new atmosphere of University.
I praise God for this strength
