I have the exact same story...I spent a year in their Colorado Springs prayer room and escaped from it by telling the truth...all the people I know there are experiencing terrible judgments from God for blaspheming in the name of Jesus

The Lord actually sent me on a secret strike on this organizations years ago, I dismantled their highest leadership and it will burn from within...it’s a classic cult that was seeking to stop the kingdom age from coming to pass and the great harvest from occurring...their scourge has spread to thousands but judgement has fallen upon them to the uttermost...the Lord used me as a spiritual weapon to stop this vile plan of the enemy...and I didn’t even know it until the present day...many thousands in this organization have committed the unpardonable sin and been disqualified from salvation, but me and Jesus were able to save many, though many were still lost who gave into the wicked and vile affections of sexual intercourse with demons

I visited this place once many years ago and what I saw there and in the church connected to them was some of the most miserable, unhappy and unfriendly people I have ever seen. There is a very strong demonic and dark oppressive presence operating there. Stay away!

May I ask what's the relationship of Mike B. and Tom Hess who wrote the book Prepare the way of king of Glory(world wide watch through the 12 gates to Jerusalem? Is that book teaching falsely? Do they belong to the same NAR system? (I got this book at hand and wonder if I should read and obey the pray principles there) if you know anything about it, would you please share? Thank you.

I’m new to KC , just moved from Texas . God has giving me the gift of discernment & I’m EXTREMELY sensitive to the spirit . I’ve seen a few things pop up here & there about IHOP but since I just moved here , I wanted to check it out myself. I LITERALLY JUST LEFT THERE 2 hours ago ……& my goodness the spiritual warfare was REAL !! Right before I walked in , God lead me to pray over myself. Once I stepped foot in there , I instantly felt the prayer room was DEAD , absolutely no presence of God & I instantly discerned it wasn’t anointed , but nonetheless I gave it a few more minutes . I bowed my head down & as SOON AS I PRAYED THAT GOD WOULD PROTECT ME & LET ME BE AWARE OF ANY WICKED SPIRITS, as SOON as I lifted my head up I had a HUGE migraine /got dizzy & super nauseous & the lord told me to GET UP & LEAVE ‼️ I was sooo unsettled in my spirit I had to pray about it and I KNOW NOW they definitely have some wicked spirits in there 😳

I also went for "healing" from some of these people and no healing occurred. It is sad that many people are in this. I went elsewhere, where Holy Spirit was moving and got healing. Praise God!

Cults leaders do not like to be questioned. They control you and they also keep you up a lot so you don’t get proper sleep because it makes it easier to manipulate you. The same with starving you.

I know that feeling I had a very similar experience in Germany I was told I would kill myself in 2 years well it's been 20 years and I haven't killed myself I was going to kill myself because I wasn't doing what they wanted me to do I've been messed up for like 15 years now but I'm getting better

I've never been to IHOP but when you complain that you fasted to much and went to prayer rooms too much and you Tell me that " after eating more and going to the prayer room LESS, I felt my head start to clear up and I didn't like what I was seeing", babygirl, I'm sorry, but that is not biblical behavior. Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, Jesus would separate himself from his disciples and the multitude to pray, and he would for hours and hours, and you telling me that the eating more and praying less with your brothers and sisters in Christ made you see clearer?! Babygirl stop.

I'm not fasting alot these days, and my prayer life is still being built everyday but I wish to fast more and wish to pray more, and I wish I could be in a place were I was encouraged to fast more and pray more! My goal is to one day fast for 40 days and 40 nights, My goal is to one day pray for 24 hrs straight, that is my dream because I know it will bring me closer to my God!
God does not leave the thirsty thirsty! Even in a place where the leaders our corrupt, the worshippers our corrupt, God does not leave the hungry hungry, God does not leave the Thirsty Thirsty. If there's a movement leading people to fast more, to pray more and to worshipp more, I am all for that, and if there's corruption, God will restore, but telling people " Don't go there, because I had bad experience" your not representative of all the people that went to IHOP, because I know there are people that went there and grew in their relationship with God.

I was red-flagged there and experienced similar but different monitoring from leaders there. Was on nightwatch and there ARE some good people there but the overall experience really messed me up, It's sad how they recruit teens and play on our trauma to control us.

I'm glad you got out. I was involved with this bc my dad went to Metro Christian Fellowship when he wasn't there. But moved to IHOP when they were in the small prayer rooms. As a preteen it didn't sit right with me. From there I was sent to Acqiure the Fire and YWAM. My dad went with me thank goodness. Bc my faith was not strong enough. My dad also worked closely with Mike. One week we hosted a woman from the Canada church and YWAM kids. She started lighting candles and chanting anfd😂being weird. She became demon possessed and threated to unlive herself at my house. We were all sleep. My dad had to remove her and that demon from our house. I can say after that my dad left right after that. That school in Canada brings you back broken and fill of more demons. As a person from KC I see so many youth come and stay bc they are told to stop talking to their families. Bc from the outside looking in its a cult. And you don't know inside. I'm glad I didn't fall down the rabbit hole bc my dad was there and I didn't believe all they way. Great story. Prayer for those still in there.

Sounds like a lot of miscommunication instead of demonic action. Humans always have static in communication. Of course the enemy of our souls will be sure to use that to cause division. Mike BIckle is a dangerous false teacher!! I composed a chart of what the occultics have been 'prophesying' for 40 years and what BIckle has been "prophesying" for 40 years. ITS IDENTICAL. I guess you should take it easy. You might not have had good experience with them. Don't be quick to judge. This Buckle that disciplined Paul Cain, Bob Jones for their failings? Who encourages God's word and insists that prophecy should agree with God's word? This man that even doubts some prophecies until he sees it's true? I am shocked to hear one say this things about IHOP. It is true they are humans, for eg someone might not agree that Bob Jones is removed entirely because of his failings. There may be other human mistreatment cos they are imperfect, but don't say they are a cult and demonic. Demons don't like the sort of things I see them do in IHOP. I watch the programs regularly.

The church I belong to will treat you worse than they did to you if you are accused of having a demon. That's human imperfections. You don't call God's church a cult cos of such failings. We need to be careful brethren. Today we all admire Jesus. Jesus never had such good reputation from everyone as we see it recorded in the bible. Some saw Jesus as one possessed by demons, as one without respect, as a leader of a sect, apostate, in fact his 'church' Judaism saw Jesus as a heretic that if any profess him will be dismembered. The christians afterward still had people calling them names.

You had God speak to you while in IHOP. How then can God dwell in occultic house to minister to you?

Pls pls and pls, let's not become the Pharisees and Sadducees of this generation! If there is something wrong there, put them in prayer. That's what Daniel, Nehemiah and others did for their nation, not condemn them as cult.

I am a singer, songwriter, worship leader and Spirit filled Christian for 40 years since IHOP was in the concept stage- mid-eighties. I have been to IHOP a few times and have listened and prayed with IHOP since the 24/7 prayer started in 1999. In my early Christian life I attended a Baptist church, then in 1985 I started attending a Vineyard church. I have not witnessed anything negative or heard anything but love and devotion to God, our Father from anyone from IHOP. I now pray with IHOP several hours per week. From 1985 to 1995 I attended a few meetings where Bob Jones, Mike Bickle, and Paul Cain were speaking. Mike Bickle has never stated, to my knowledge that He was a prophet. And I can only testify of the faith, love and service to God and Christ from these men. Though no one would say they are infallible. I am surprised and saddened by the negative experience Stephanie has described. Christ came to save flawed people. All come short of God's glory and perfection. I can only pray that we show the same mercy to each other that we ourselves received. However, there's no doubt, leaders need to be held to a higher standard in the churches.

Sorry you had to find out what I have known since the day Bickle came to Kansas City and began living in the "Duplxes" on Troost. He grew out of grace year by year till he now has Ichabod engraved in his forehead.

This story brought tears to my eyes and grief to my heart… I am so terribly sorry Stephanie had these devastating experiences, and so thankful for her pastoral support and care to bring her back to Jesus heart! I was also at the International House of Prayer Kansas City for a decade. I did not have anywhere near these experiences. I actually lived in the same house as the Walshes and to this day I don’t have any ill feelings towards them, although I did experience many rough situations during my time at IHOPKC, nothing even close to what she experienced and I, find it so tragic that many people really have undergone traumatic experiences at the hands of people there…

I'm writing in November 2023, ten years after most of the rest of the comments. I found IHOP online back in March 2023 because they were promoting a 24 day fast and prayer for Israel, which I participated in. I found that experience to be wonderful, and I paired up with a local prayer partner from my church and the two of us prayed together by phone every day during the 24 days. I fasted two meals each day. I felt the Lord speaking to my spirit. Fast forward to the attack on Israel on Oct. 7 2023. It seemed to me that Mike Bickel's idea to fast and pray for Israel was the right thing to do. I subscribed to his podcasts and got a lot out of them. It saddened me to find out that only a few days after that, allegations came out against Mike Bickel, and IHOP.

What about the other pastors that used to be at IHOP like Wes Martin! He is taking up for the women accusers! He is now in St. Louis!

Best too hear from the Lord if you need deliverance and healing. Was in a church called new wine in Houston TX in the mid 90's that did deliverance and attended one of their retreats where I felt an evil spirit in my soul and realize from my experience that a demon can hide in a Christian soul and only through God revealing it that I needed deliverance from a spirit of rebellion. Like yourself I moved to Kansas city in 2003 and moved into house ministry called eagles landing that wasn't part of ihop where I recieved some healing and deliverance. People in ministry that discern don't always handle a situation in the right manner but we need to forgive and release them from any judgment in our hearts and trust the Lord. The Bible say to workout our salvation with fear and trembling, Philippians 2:12) the word salvation in the Hebrew language means yeshua, God bless you sister and show us our spiritual condition in yeshua name.

Thank God for true , biblically sound churches and pastors like those at Calvery chapel. I've been deconstructing charismania for about 2 yrs now, and i still deal with confusion and trauma at times. I did a lot of questioning and was followed and confronted in a dark parking lot at the church and told to keep my mouth shut. Other times, if i had a testimony i wasnt allowed to hold the mic and was very limited to speak. just before i left, my children and I were held back from any sort of ministry we wanted to participate in and when i questioned the pastor and flat out asked him if he wanted me and my family to leave he sat there in silence and refused to answer me. I took that as my answer and my exit. The NAR and Word of faith ministries originate from william brannen and manifest sons of God. Do a deep dive on these guys and youll sprint away from anything associated with IHOP, Bethel or Hill song!

I'm so sorry for the sorrow this brought into your life. I've done a lot of research on these in-house cults through the years. You were blessed to be delivered from it.

As in all cults, they attack those who question what is unbiblical, just like they attacked you. They always blame the offensive one for what they're doing.

There are definitely demons involved; but they weren't in you. The Lord finds His little lambs in all sorts of places; He gives them the insight to question what's wrong. I'm sure your experience has equipped you to help others under the control of seducing spirits.

People be very aware of witches hidding in the churches praying on powerful Christians placing demon destiny destroyers on them. And collecting to increase their power from habitual sinners(possible false converts). But pray that God helps you to see and discern this. Because the devil is done playing with us and is now serious about elimination of us.

The Lord convicted me years back that witches will infiltrate Pentecostal circles because a lack of testing and use of discernment.

It's so spiritually abusive what they did to her for having genuine questions about what they were engaging in. I was in that movement for most of my life and I learned very early on that if you don't assimilate, you will suspected of either demonic possession or of being altogether unsaved. It's no wonder why I spent so much of my life completely confused about what I was even meant to do with my life as a believer. We were always chasing the next healer or prophet or prophecy or worship music. It was all carnal, even with the best of intentions, because a little leaven leavens the whole lump, just like Jesus warned us.

The leaven of the Pharisee's that Jesus was referring to there wasn't people who care too much about what the Bible says, as I was always taught. Being a Pharisee meant exceeding what was written. Adding a little of your own flare here and there. A little compromise. A little worldliness. A little greed. A little pride. It all starts out small, but it always overruns the whole loaf in the end and if the Mike Bickle saga isn't a perfect example of that, I don't know what is.

People of real faith don't chase after signs. Signs are for the unbelievers so that in seeing, they might believe.. But blessed are those who have not seen and still believe.

Edit: I don't know why I didn't realize until the end that we even share the same name. Not that we needed to.. I have a feeling a lot of people can relate to this testimony, both from within and without IHOP.

God himself is shaking the church. He’s going to carve it like a a-peeled apple . Only the core built on the rock will stand. Unless you have been called and commissioned to judge his bride; I recommend let God do his work. When it comes to his bride he’s rather touchy about that. There is a separate topic of the process of high calls and anointing. One thing for sure you need healthy accountable relationships. Ideally married and 100% accountable and honest. If you have ever walked in power ministry s you would know how they can feel addicting. You feel the constant need to have the super charged intimacy on. But it ebbs and flows. Sex is a close second to the explosive intensity you feel. This is how ungrounded anointed people fall.
When it’s off? Let it be off I till God pass,s by again. Reading the word and humble service should be enough. Talk to your wife and stay grounded. These people are not grounded. They swing from explosive intimacy to nothing. Then due to poverty of personal intimate relationships get caught up in affairs to fill a void. I tell my wife everything and have no secrets from my friends
