Great video David !
I have ordered the Fizik Vento Argo adaptive 00.
I have always had trouble with saddles irritating my groin/hamstrings.
Have you noticed this issue at all with this saddle ?
My sit bones measure 11.2 cm and I have ordered the 140 width saddle .
Thanks, Dave

Condidering that 3D print is rather cheap tech, Im surprised by the price tag on that saddle. They want me to believe that running automatic 3d machine costs so much? LOL, no.

By far my most favourite saddle as well. Instantly more comfortable on long rides 4+ hours than anything else I’ve used before. No issues whatsoever with bib damage or any issues with the saddle catching me when moving around the saddle. Absolutely fantastic - I guess some people have different experiences but myself and loads of my buddies swear by this saddle. With Fizik’s return policy its a no brainier to try it. I bet you’ll love it.

I love my Prevail II… but was due for some new kit. Saw the redundant-drab colors of the Prevail III (and ultra inflated price tag) so decided to go POC Ventral Air instead. Very happy with the POC… highly recommend.

At 1'600g for a 40 wheelset that is already hookless and carbon is too much these days. I have a set that is 1'416g which is actually already 46g above advertised. But they are also 45/55. Not 40/40. That makes a big difference actually. The company's 38/38 wheels are 140g lighter, subtracting that from the actual weight of mine and not advertised, to be conservative (though of course the Corima value of 1'600g is also just advertised and may be higher actually), you get 1'276, which is 324g lighter at essentially the same depth. That's massive. Massive.

Fizik seats have been the WORST I have ridden. Very uncomfortable and stiff. I have tried two and VERY displeased with both. The best seat I have discovered is an Infinity seat. They look funny but are more comfortable than any saddle I have ridden. I ride between 5000 and 7000 miles a year. I have put infinity seats on my gravel, training road bike and my race bike.

Hi David thanks for the reviews. I'm always looking for a comfortable saddle and my most concern is how does the nose of the saddle feels when your hands are on the drops riding an aggressive position for about 5 to 15 minutes?

The problem with these 3d printed saddles is they collapse after a few months and won't stay as comfortable as when it was new. Had a specialized mirror one which was great at first but then the honeycomb became soft after a few months of use. Trash

Love my Berk Lupina saddles, like an armchair for your backside on your bike. Of course a saddle is a personal thing but I went through a mountain of different saddles trying to find one that's still comfortable after 3 or 4 hours.

My Selle San Marco ShortFit Open-Fit Carbon FX (Yeah a mouthful) is the best saddle I've ever ridden. 155g at less than $200. It's the same theme as these new saddles without the 3d printing gimmick which at like $5 a unit gives vendors an unreal margin. It looks a lot better too.

Finding a comfortable saddle has always been a challenge for me. I spent $26 for a carbon fibre saddle from Descent about 2 years ago and I find it to be much more comfortable than my $185 S-Works saddle. Strange considering that the carbon fibre saddle has zero cushion. I just know that it works.

Comfortable. Heavier that Selle Italia Carbonio Boost SLR. 3d printed saddles - even vs the upcoming Selle Italia version - IS/ARE Heavier than the carbon and padded former versions. Too grabby material in my opinion. Love Fizik. But this as the most comfortable saddle is mere clickbait strategy for views. Tried Cadex as well. Comfort is comparable to non 3d printed saddles. Even adidas 3d printed sneakers are comfortable BUT as noticeably heavier than foam soles..

I've sort of been interested in these 3D printed saddles but the price is overwhelming. I saw they are offered at Ali-Express for $80 US. I would jump on that but the shape is the same as that Fizik saddle and not for me. I don't want a short nose saddle.

How's come I've never seen a review of helmet using the Halo headband? Halo needs to partner with a major helmet brand or MIPS. I think it's difficult to get helmet that works good with it but I wear one on every ride to prevent salty eyes. Why cant manufacturers incorporate this for racers?

Like most I've predominantly used plastic saddles but a period with a persistent injury in a certain delicate place eventually led me to broaden my horizons, put weight considerations to one side & try leather. Revelatory, the best upgrade I have ever made. I will never return to plastic.

has anyone run into an issue or the Fizik Argo R3 saddle ripping into the bib seams? I have 2 pairs of bibs that i've been using over the summer with chewed up seams that hold the chamois from riding on this saddle. Both bibs have the same issue in the same spot and they are a different brand.

Re the saddle, it was too grippy so was unable to micro adjust easily, there was too much sag compared with the non adaptive version (which i have gone back to) which meant more pressure i am 92 kg so perhaps it's for the 70kg lot. The holes ... it felt like it was pinching my cheeks which sounds odd but true. Maje sure you raise the saddle tiny bit as its compresses a lot more than the non adaptive version.

Shame as i really wanted to like it but it's ended up being and expensive experiment having sold it on ebay 🙃

I'm not getting on with my Argo adaptive because there isn't enough support when or more to the point density of material around the nose area. I've also noticed more significant wear in my Assos bib shorts around the seat area since using this saddle. I'll go back to the Bontrager Aeolus soon.
