I’m 72 and a breast cancer survivor (2+ years), now involved in physical therapy for issues related to my bilateral mastectomy. I’m getting a major workout twice a week and absolutely loving it! I’ve also learned I can use the PT gym for free for life now that I have been a patient there. I’m already getting stronger after just a few weeks. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and going through a flare right now, so trying to cut gluten and dairy and eliminating processed foods at least for a while. I love your optimistic frame of mind, Ms. Sandra! I, too, tend to the optimistic and I always, always, always have projects going or in the planning. I also have a big raised bed gardens and a smallish orchard of fruit trees. I keep honeybees. I use nothing in my garden that isn’t organic, do all the weeding and planting and harvesting and harvest preservation (canning, freezing foods mostly). I am of the firm belief that staying engaged in life and doing things you enjoy, as well as watching your diet as best you can will help keep us healthy and give us a longer life. You look amazing - all that gorgeous hair! Thanks for your videos.❤

ОтветитьHope those are organic oats. Oats are notorious for toxin as they are treated with poison. Everything else you eat is fabulous. Totally agree with your food choices. Try farro too😊. Exercise is essential. Weight bearing, cardio and stretch. I use five pound weights as well. I’m 69 and do just what you do, but no two-hour bike rides haha…twenty minutes a day. Positive attitude, gratitude, learning…you are so right. Girl, I hope you will last forever so we can continue to have such a great role model. Coming to South Beach late April 2024. ОтветитьYou look great in that raspberry color! I'm a pescatarian too. I was a vegetarian for about 30 years but when I moved from Chicago to the West Coast of Ireland I added fish to my diet. It's so fresh here and I found that pure vegetarianism was a bit more difficult here.

ОтветитьIf your eating less and making better choices as you get over 60, the rest seems to fall into place, stay away from doctors and unless medications, as you age your body needs less, your system slows down. Many become thinner in this time through losses of loved ones and after traumatic surgeries, as I have myself. I know meat is important, I am careful where I buy it, I eat very little to speak of, fish is my favorite and I still enjoy liver and onions a couple times a month, hav8ng been brought up on farms I do understand nutrition.
In seven years I have gone from a size 12 to a size zero, at 5'9 to 5'6 because of my back situation, I can't put on weight if I ate all day it seems..of course I only eat two small meals now. I am simply not hungry and aging does suck your energy..I think everyone is different in many ways, I do not believe one size fits all, never has.
All my friends and relatives are all so different in how they live and eat, you just need to experiment on what works for you.

Having friends in my life is a blessing. My family are also busy with their lives. My husband died two and a half years ago, so its still strange and feels lonely without him. My family are always available to help me when needed. My hair is gray and curly. You have lovely thicker hair. Mine is thinning darn.

ОтветитьI follow the same routine and it has kept me healthy into my seventies. I don't take any medication and I feel great. Keeping a positive attitude also contributes to good health so thank you for also mentioning that.

ОтветитьHello, You look wonderful. We also do try to eat all organic we can get. Living in San Diego we has access to a lot of growing and farmers markets. Drink fresh squeezed celery juice first thing in the morning with lemon water before and through the day. My daughter is raw (plant based diet) to keep and has keep her healthy. She was diagnosed over 5 years ago to have MS and refused to go on meds and be in a wheel chair as told. She gorgeous and fit and healthy very active and also has quite the accomplished garden to grow a lot of her own fruits and veggies. Looks to be in early 30's and is 52. She has since become a very nutritionist informed and helping others...to much to explain. But, I couldn't be prouder of all she has accomplished.
My husband and I are not that good..but try and also eat at home and non processed organic foods. I'm 79 and no meds. My husband is an active fit and races bicycles in his retirement.
BTW. did you know Wild Blueberries are top of the list for antioxidants in fruit ...I think it is about 8 times more than regular blueberries.

ОтветитьI ❤ watching your videos; you’re so inspiring! My husband passed last year, and I’m now getting into my wellness more. I still have a way to go, but I’ve started juicing and I love it! It does cost more at the grocery store and I can’t always buy organic but I do my best. I also purchased a vibration wellness plate. I try to use it at least 10 minutes every day. I do drink red wine and sometimes have meat and goodies but it’s a process for me. It gives me a goal to try to attain. I’m 74.
