Awesome video and look forward to when your store reopens to try myself! When you recommend the FP shell, do you mean the stock version, or the one built for a slip-in IPS? I realize you recommend the OSD screen, not IPS. Thanks
Ответитьheck ye, poco looks amazing
ОтветитьNice! I built a Gaboze Pocaio few years ago to be able to play GBC/A but this seems like a much more approachable mod.
ОтветитьGreat video! I love nerding out for Gameboy stuff.
Ответитьyo, you have a mega brain, any chance you know why a GBC would boot and detect a game (able to change colours on boot startup when a GB(non color) cartridge is in) but doesn't go past the GAMEBOY Nintendo ® screen ?
ОтветитьI love the bend and snap clip! Haha perfect placement
Ответитьno one is doing it like you. thank you so much
Ответитьbend and snap got me!
ОтветитьThis looks really cool!
Do you make/sell custom ones yourself?
gorgeous build, fantastic video. thank you for everything you do for the gameboy modding scene!
Ответитьamazing vid, and really good job!
ОтветитьThank you very much for this guide😍🥰
Ответитьcan I still connect this modded game boy with a normal game boy color?
Ответитьwould be perfect a mod for the batteries, to be able to use AA batteries. Do we have this mod already?
ОтветитьGreat video! I made one of these a long while back, but haven't tried with your board. Looks much easier!
ОтветитьLegally Blond reference! +1
ОтветитьVery cool !! Now sell me that mod you just did 🤓….. keep it up
ОтветитьOhhh that's clean...
ОтветитьSaw that it said restock on 10/13, tried ordering last night on 10/16 and said sold out. Lol. Quite popular I guess. Any idea when there might be another restock? Really great mod!
ОтветитьJust curious, would this work in a game boy light case or does it have to be the pocket?
ОтветитьWatching from Philippines
ОтветитьThank you very much Natalie ❤
ОтветитьHonestly, I'm not sure why Mahko made a big deal about risking people's property and gate keeping the mod. If you don't want to share that's fine but don't tell people it's for their own good. Thank you for sharing! Def subscribing.
ОтветитьThank you Natalie. I have subscribed!
ОтветитьAwesome video, even if I don't build a poco this was a fun watch
Ответитьdo you think you could make a dmg color?
ОтветитьNatalie love your content and keep it going, love your honesty which is a rare thing now a days ❤
ОтветитьAmazing! Cant wait to buy and try this! Is there a way to avoid CPU-06 revision E boards when buying from eBay, without getting the seller to open it up?
ОтветитьWould love to know when more inventory will be in stock!
Ответитьdoes the power switch switches to the opposite direction when turn on (compared to a regular pocket)?
ОтветитьHello Natalie. I'm working on a this build and have a question. when i get the q5 GBC screen, would I just get a standard sized GBP screen lens? or one of the IPS lenses?
ОтветитьLet's say the OEM power switch from the color is absolutely destroyed, what would someone recommend to use instead? I can't find OEM replacements online, only those replacement board type ones which might make it too big for this mod.
Ответитьwhole shop is empty/out of stock of everything :(
ОтветитьDid you manage to do it the first time? Did you make any mistakes during the process? This seems like a difficult modification to me. I think this video is perfect, congratulations on the quality.
ОтветитьThis guide is amazing, those components are amazing, you're amazing. Thank you for making this more accessible to us all.
ОтветитьOnly if I had the expertise to do this 🙃
ОтветитьIf I had the solder skills to do this or a full PCB to transfer components to, is there a downside to this version vs the full version? I can certainly repopulate a new "pocket color" pcb, but this seems SO much easier. Just wondering if this vs has a downside to the other
ОтветитьQuestion, do you think that a different dc board, like a helders regulator, would cause an issue?
ОтветитьNice nails btw x
ОтветитьCool to hear my music randomly on a video I found 😂 thanks for the support!
ОтветитьI'm waiting this kit come back instock 🥹🥹🥹
ОтветитьYou said we can add “adhesive dime switches” to make clicky buttons. I’m not sure what that’s referring to.
ОтветитьMe gusta un PoCo. 😅
ОтветитьEven when I already have too many projects to work on, this inspires me to do one more! What an awesome project and tutorial!
ОтветитьIt looks nice but the Color is already small for my hands.
ОтветитьWhere is the shell from? I also want such a clear translucent one but for GBC
ОтветитьLovely stuff - Did you file down the shell for the USB-C port, or buy a pre molded shell? I can't seem to find any for sale online :(
ОтветитьHello Natalie! I come to you with a question, but not about this mod in particular, but you're edit to the Bucket Mouse GBP Color Type E revision.
You say in the edit, "The only differences is there is an added 2.5V LDO (NCP161ASN250T1G) and a couple more capacitors and no RAM", and you include that nice iBOM website showing a nice guide when putting this together. I'm a complete noob when it comes to understanding these electrical parts, and just with the footprint and value, I can't find out which parts to order off of the Mouser website (I'm using this website as it's the one Bucket mouse includes in his write-up to order parts). When I enter the value and footprint into the website,, there are multiple options that range in voltage and I can't figure out which to get.
Do you have a list of extra capacitors needed? I'm assuming they are just more of the same capacitors that the original mod uses, but I'm unsure. Any help on this would be really helpful!
Love your mod vids too, they have helped me a bunch feel confident when doing this myself!
Awesome mod! Now I really want to do this!
Will you be restocking your store anytime in the near future?
awesome!!!
