Although I'm from Liverpool, UK, I first started (proper) flying lessons when I lived/worked in Casper, Wyoming. I found comms came to me really easy. But, I never continued flying when I returned to the UK and only restarted flying lessons a year or so ago. I find transitioning to UK RT to be a lot harder that I actually had to stop flying until I had a command of what to say (i.e. reading CAP413). It maybe that I'm flying in Class D airspace where it's a lot busier.

The most important thing to understand is that there is a learning curve. You won't understand it all, all at once. Patience and repetition wins the day.

I was wanting to pursue a professional flying career, however, the problem is the new rule on part 135 and part 91 state that operators have the option of forcing retirement of pilots of age 65 just like the part 121 pilots, it’s too bad they decided to do this because now being that I am 59 years old and in great health, it still would make spending a small fortune to pursue a career that is uncertain at best would not be worth it, yet they say there is a pilot shortage right?

This video is so great, I passed my private pilot checkride 5 days ago and now my eyes are on the next step, instrament rating. The fun of learning and freedom of flying. Can't wait to get into this with you guys here soon. Getting my feet wet with instrament and looking into what to expect. Great video, gets me excited to start

great video
had the same thought when you said jfk jr

so how many pilots out here when you have to be ifr are trusting that vs the "natural" inclination to be vfr?

I am notttt a pilot

There’s a reason Jason Schappert has been voted the best CFII; because he is. 🏆🥇

For the record, if you miss a greaser by an inch when that right seat dude says "back a little more" more than once, then it is his fault; just saying.
