I love the signs art style, i would have stickers of them too, mostly because the style is realistic, For me the north america pack animal signs are... bleah....

I LOVE the butterflies. One of my favorite things to do at zoos is to go to the butterfly houses. The atmosphere is just so peaceful. Really thinking we'll see flying birds soon. Of course, I hope we get more bats and insects as well. Would love to see Hummingbirds.

ONE oversight I could see is that you can add milkweed to your butterfly house...but it's not a plant that exists in the game lol.

They should add crowned wildebeest like from the hunter called The wild into this game as well I really like how the crown will the beast look with their gold head

We have four blue wildebeest at my work and I have to say, those models are really spot on. 10/10 stunning

I really can't wait to see what modders do with the armadillos. I really wanna see different armadillo species. On a side note, I would actually really like a pleistocene pack. I know other games are doing prehistoric zoos, but I would really just like a pleistocene pack if not only just for a glyptodont. Cingulata are some of my favorite animals 🥰

The thing is with the loop animation of the butterflies that it is not that unrealistic actually. I've been to several butterfly houses and some of the butterflies just fly around in loops. But even with wild ones you can see them landing on a flower, take off, make a loop and land on the same thing, like 3-4 times in a row.

I liked the Blue Wildebeest. I was hopeing they would put that specie in, as they are the most animals within the migration. Like number 1 most important of the African Ego-System, take a look at the great Migration documentary of it.

Nine banded armadillos are everywhere in Central US. In past decades they have migrated North very far. I live in mid Missouri (the Ozarks) and they're everywhere here

Remember: Butterflies have been hunted for years, first at the South American pack, in which they came as flexicolour lights

how do people not like mods? Mods are whats keeping the game alive for so many people lol Look at zoo tycoon, it was being played for so long after support died out because of the elite mods for it

Love that they did the butterfly house ,it's been something I wanted for a long time. It would be nice if it was more modular though with the paths, or came in different sizing. Its great having it inside a bigger tropical hall. And Finally maned wolf, the hyena was a great surprise too and the rest of animals are nice as well. The grasses will be fun to use, excited to builld some things when get to it, especially since finally on a new pc thats a monster and I'll never have to worry about putting down a bazillion of things now 😸 tho i'm still stuck with my mars zoo that I try to keep very simple for recource sake, to some level of "realism" for me the 3d printed walls were the best thing ever added regarding this, since it's an idea nasa has for real scenarios as well. That reminds me of something, having elevators would be so great.

Wasnt there a sign of the blue morpho in the wetlands dlc? There was also a bee one if i remember correctly. So maybe there is some kind of bee exhibit coming up 👀

Frontier is really flexing their alpha skills in this pack! The wildebeest's mane is stunning and I love the caracal's ears.

I like the Hyena! I adore this pack simply because it gives us species variety and fleshed out the rosters we already have, mostly in Australia. The Blue Wildebeest and the Striped Hyena are clearly superior to their counterparts already in the game too, which is nice

The animals in this pack all look amazing, it's so hard to pick to a favorite. I'm also surprised that the butterflies have size variation as it seemed like they would be palette swaps of the same model. Easily my favorite pack of the year, it's so perfect.

OMG Leaf! Moving butterfly models!??! I have the prop pack mods and was thinking with the butterfly house to use those to make the butterfly house fuller, but if you can place the wing moving assets to the props - MIND BLOWN! I got sooo excited!! Also I watched Rudi's video and the butterflies land on guests!! Cannot wait to explore this pack tomorrow and thank you for a wonderful thorough review as always :)

Hey Leaf, thanks for the update overview. Are the prop packs now working again? I believe you said in a previous video that they had been broken by the new update and you and Lion were working to fix them.

It's been 2 months and I mean the frontier is making a lot of moolah. More moolah means more DLC packs for planet zoo and I hope they added something hype for all of us the game has over 153 species of animals in the game.

I wish there were more animations and enrichment items added. The enrichment of the animals seems to just have received no attention in the last two packs.

Definetley not an expert but based off of images I've found on Google the hyenas look pretty good although I think the face needs a rework. Hopefully they do actually get a rework because they are my favorite animal from the pack and I think Fronier can do much better.

I'm not super familiar with the mod scene in Planet Zoo so excuse the question if it has been explained before, but can those scenery assets in that are not placeable in the butterfly walkthrough, is it possible thru modding to make them part of the piece by piece scenery? I always wonder about this when looking at all the awesome general stuff inside the staff buildings.

By far the scenery inside the butterfly walkthrough are some of the best in the game, really hope Frontier listens to you and adds it as placeable pieces.

I'm really surprised that they actually added milkweed to the butterfly garden, working in a zoo in the USA I know we're not legally allowed to have plants that caterpillars eat because most zoos don't have breeding licences from the government

Still not super sure about the hyenas eyes. but the fur looks fanstastic
really had hoped for melanistic maned wolf since they have been recorded for a couple years now and gorgeous.
Super happy the wildebeast got its golden variant, though had hoped to see the "king" variant aswell, but they are absolutely stunning.
theres so much to say but i love all the animals, but agree id love some of those walkthrough exhibit items as lose prop options aswell, especially the plants, we need more plants!
also i love the consistent artstyle of the signs, would love it if all previous animals go these aswell.

I will say the striped hyena looks better then it did in the first screenshot but I'm still looking forward to the updated model as I think that will really seal the deal. Carcal is probably my fav animal in the pack based on looks, though I'm a suckered for wild cats.

Somebody knows so far if the spotted hyena can combine with the striped hyena in one exhibit?
