Update: The Alesis Crimson II SE has gotten complaints about the Open and Closed MIDI Note being the same. So that particular kit might not be the best for drum software use. I'd get the Simmons SD1250 instead if you need large sizes for Drum Plugin use.
ОтветитьBuy used!!!
ОтветитьSubbed, I'm newer to drumming, brand new to electronic drums and very out of practice. I played guitar in bands for decades, drums just a little while maybe 9 months...then neither for last 15 years.
Decided to jump back in and feed my need to get gud on drums.😊
I'm looking for the first e - drum set for my 11 year old he's a beginner but I'm hoping for suggestions on a set he won't outgrow in 2 - 3 years and doesn't break the bank I kinda like the Alisis for it's size he played a Simmons in GC last week he said it was ok
ОтветитьGuitar Center has both the Aleise and Simmons (with extra tom & cymbal) on sale for $899.00, which would you buy?
Ответитьcan you mix and match e-drums from different sets/the control modules?
ОтветитьSo would it be fair to say the Roland kit is Apple and the Alesis is Android?
Ответитьtd07kv compact is not a disadvantage for me
ОтветитьDo you think the Yamaha or Roland sounds are better? I noticed that your top picks for electric drums video a few months back, and the Yamaha said was not mentioned.
ОтветитьLooking for a drumset that will be used for rehearsals and recording in the $1,000 range. Will be using third party sound fx. Thank you very much for this vid!
Ответитьdo you have a video about external tools like plugins?
ОтветитьThanks for the analysis, very useful !
ОтветитьThanks for the analysis, very useful !
ОтветитьSuperb presentation! This is a huge help.
ОтветитьI have the alesis nitro set just a 500.00 set and I love the way the mesh heads feel. Only complaint is the sounds are a little lacking just like the 1000.00 alesis he shows.
I myself do not like the rubber pads on drums.
I wanna get the Roland one but the ride cymbal not having a bell is kinda sad is there a way to buy a 3 zone ride on it?
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thanks
Ответитьwhat about the Fame DD-1XT ?
Ответитьgreat videos! I’m thinking about what you said about the Alesis.. I’m looking for a set for recording using plugins only, so I have zero need or desire for a module with internal sounds, but definitely want something that feels natural to finesse drummers and will pick up on their nuances and touch. what are my choices in the $1000—2000 range?
Ответитьyou know what. How about a video for "the best vdrums for plugins". That would really help me out a lot! The whole setup would be lovely to see
ОтветитьDo any of these kits have cymbal-choke capability?
ОтветитьI don't like how Roland makes the drums smaller with the internal plastic ring. That's stupid in my opinion. Alesis looks good, and Simmons looks the best in my opinion. I have played on the Yamaha weird silicon heads and HIGHLY dislike them. They feel spongy and nasty. Like playing on a flimsy piece of personal play material. Seems like the material would degrade fast over time. Not cool Yamaha I expect more from you! I feel mesh is the most realistic to play on and durable. Also cheap to replace. It can also make a drummer sound better by having super fast rebounds. Which is kind of cheating...but whatever IDC. I am astounded by the sounds coming from the digital music market these days. WAY better then what we had 20 or even 10 years ago. I went digital with my guitar, and the ease of it as well as the vastly lowered sound floor on my stage is a major improvement to my ears asl well as everyone around me and the PA especially appreciates it. Sure my front of house is doing WAY more work now then ever before, but if you play a track through your speakers what's the difference really? NONE! The sound quality is what it is. You get what you put into it, and that says a lot. You can make it sound fantastic if you put the time into it, and then wherever you play it always sounds the same and no further adjustments are ever needed. Same goes with the drums conversion to electronic. Can't wait to see what the future brings. Save my ears and am happy for it.
ОтветитьYamaha sound is the best no doubt, but looks shit, damn... I need regular size, good sound like yamaha, but not that rubber toms...
ОтветитьThanks for video. You mentioned that some of the grand priced rolands don't have a bell zone ride. Do you know by chance if the td17 kv has a bell zone ride?
ОтветитьWill the Yamaha module work on the Simmons sd1250 drum set?
ОтветитьWhy can’t you use a double pedal on the Alesis?
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if the Crimson II SE hi-hat over MIDI issue has been resolved?
Ответить"The Roland TD-07 does not have master right and left outputs..."
Me: "Ah ha, see, what i did to solve that issue was simply buy a small mixer and"
"...if you want master right and left outputs, you'll have to buy a small mixer."
And here i was thinking i was clever...
Im interested in getting the Alesis Crimson one, any great videos out there to help install plugins to electric drums?
Ответитьcan you comment on taking input from an external music source to be able to practice to?
Ответитьi feel like the millenium MPS-850 should at least be mentioned on the list
ОтветитьArtesia A250 never got mention. Why?
ОтветитьHi, Thank you for the videos Justin, do you have any information about the millenium mps 1000?
ОтветитьRoland continues to seek selling expensive sets without competing value.
Ответитьwhat about the Millenium kit's ?????
ОтветитьSleep well my Alesis DM8 Studio,I will wake you up soon.
ОтветитьSound is big for me. With that being said I remember playing on a Yamaha from 2007 to about 2010 and the sound was amazing. So it's good to see them stay consistent and Legendary.
ОтветитьIn my opinion the yamaha has the best sounds.
ОтветитьIs it easy to add new drum sounds on crimson?
ОтветитьI was really thinking about getting the Roland TD-07 just as a VST plugin controller, but if the Alesis has good velocity response and low latency, I think I'll go for that instead. I also appreciate that it has midi built in.
ОтветитьYou got that Millenium MPS 1000 E drum set out now for this range
ОтветитьYamaha has the best sound 100%
ОтветитьVery informative review. Straight & to the point. Thanks.
ОтветитьJust curious, can the ride be upgraded on the Roland TD-07KV to include a 3 zone for the bell sound? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat info
ОтветитьBest for 1000- buy real fucking drums
ОтветитьHave you had any experience with the artesia a 250 it goes for about 1000 and has sounds and triggering similar to the efnote
ОтветитьNo bell sensor on a 1000$ kit is simply not acceptable. WTH Roland
