What did you use to attach the whole saw to the drill tho? That's what I don't get, what's it called?
ОтветитьBeat tip I’ve seen. Kudos
ОтветитьThis was a great solution. I echo the comments of those not wanting to peel & chisel off those suckers. I attempted to do that before finding this video and it was a nightmare. This solved the problem perfectly. Thanks for posting. BTW; any idea if these aluminum caps are actually needed or can we just use the steel lugs as they are without the caps? (Other than for aesthetics).
ОтветитьIt’s always the ford lugs
ОтветитьWorked perfect, took longer to take the pilot screw out of the hole saw than to saw the cap off!
ОтветитьMy daughter went to the dealer for tires. Car 4 years old. Lug nuts swollen. Quote, $400 just to remove the lug nuts. She left. Daddy will try his luck. Thanks for making this video. Bye the way my car is 2 years old and I think I will replace my lugs now while there's still time.
ОтветитьWht size is the actual lug nut?
ОтветитьYou just saved me. I went to take off the driver's side wheel for the first time on my new to me 2015 F150 and one of the nuts just kept spinning. Before I saw anything online I was thinking that he head part was spinning and not the rest. Sure enough that was the case. I saw where some others use a chisel but this seemed much easier and it was. I just had to take a trip to Lowes since my Harbor Freight hole saw was demolished by the lugnut and barely left a scratch
ОтветитьThis is genius, I was about to use a chisel and hammer hoping not to hurt the wheels in the process. Thank you
ОтветитьYou’re a lifesaver. I wasn’t looking forward to peeling those suckers off by hand while they were still on the vehicle. I picked up a 29mm Milwaukee hole dozer with arbor for $14 from Hime Depot. Removed the pilot bit and removed the first cap in 30 seconds.
ОтветитьThis guy knows what he is talking about. His fix worked perfectly on my 2016 ford F150 platinum. Thank you for this video. I hate these ford 2 piece lug nuts. What a joke they are. Ford should be embarrassed to put these lame parts on their vehicles. Replacing mine immediately with the normal 1 piece design. Thanks again for this video.
ОтветитьThanks for the how-to! Can I just use the lug nut without the chrome cap? Or do you recommend replacing them with the 1 piece?
ОтветитьHad the same problem with my Chrysler 200 best method by far
ОтветитьI fucking hate lugnut caps. Dumbest damn things. Stopped on the side of the road to help a person with their flat tire on their Ford bc I had an actual carjack and impact with a socket set in the car, but just couldn't get past those dumb ass useless fucking pieces of plastic. Ended up having to leave them on the side of the road where I found em all bc of some dumb ass that decided oh hey plastic lugnut caps teehhee. Brilliant!
ОтветитьYou're using a metal hole saw but but without the interior drill bit. We're do i get that?
ОтветитьTank you for the information
ОтветитьI used a hammer and chisel for my one wheel gonna do this for the rest. 2014 buick lacrosse caps are spinning on the nut.
ОтветитьGreat Idea!
ОтветитьDude, you honestly saved me so much time. My magnums lugs were like this, and the buldge was so bad that i couldnt just chisel and break them, i had to like flower the whole cover enough to get the right socket on. This way is seriously miles better. Chrysler, ford, and anyone else that made these lugs... not cool
ОтветитьFantastic! 🎸😄
ОтветитьThanx man, I'm an electrician and can usually figure out how to get myself out of jams like this but it never occurred to me 2do your trick... huge help👍
ОтветитьI have looked all over and still can’t find this tool. What’s the name of it?
ОтветитьBest method
ОтветитьWhy ford keep producing this stupid lug nut caps ???
ОтветитьBrosky, you saved me. Me and my neighbors were scratching our heads. Thank you
Ответитьso if you get a puncher is this what you would have to do to change your wheel at the side of the road ? crazy !
ОтветитьHell yeah bro! Thx!!
ОтветитьJust use a small lug nut socket pound it in then use a breaker bar , go up n down until the cap is startin to strip then take socket off then start strippin the cap with snips then it will come off
ОтветитьBy far the quickest and best method, thanks
ОтветитьThanks for the video. What size metal bit would I use for a Jeep 2015 Cherokee metal cap?
ОтветитьThank you, this helps having to live in a third-world country; parts are hard to find.
ОтветитьSo simple ! No vise grips😊
Ответитьthis is why i have a 19.5, 21.5 and a 22.5 lug set of sockets, 99% of the time they come off like a normal lug with those.
