I think the Inspiron 7000 i7 no touch is worthwhile to review too.

A comparison between Inspiron 7000 14 vs xps 13 both i7 would be also very interesting. Both are about same size, price and performance. The inspiron is even lighter despite the bigger screen. I think besides the better GPU (MX250) of the inspiron both are pretty similar.

Can the inspiron beat the xps for even less money?

I've been in the market for a new device , I'm torn between the XPS 13, the Microsoft Surface laptop 3 and the Surface pro 7. i really use it only for Netflix, some photo editing and basic email web stuff. What device would you suggest ?

DELL XPS 13 7390 2 in 1, is the worst laptop ever, it’s completely unreliable! I spent countless hours troubleshooting many problems, Windows 10 is completely broken on this laptop. I still can't reliably transfer files to and from my external HDD's, speed goes very often to 0 B/s for 10s and then resumes for 2s and so on. It's very loud laptop. It wakes up and heats up really hard on closed lid, no update fixed it yet. Most of the problems are maybe because of Windows and I can't switch to linux, because it is not supported... I can't reach any English support from Japan, ffs!!! I just switched to MacBook Pro which is amazing, it just works great and I spent a day to learn it! Now I need to get rid of this crap!

The battery & thermal solution technology always cannot catch up.

6 cores still 6 cores no matter what. I have it and its amazing.

The CPU was easily reaching 90C even when I was just watching webs. Then I found the heat problems can be easily solved by adding something (bottle cap) under the xps13 to facilitate the air flow. Now I can keep turbo the CPU to 4GHZ for 20min with Temperature ~ 60 C.
BUT, such a premium product should not rely on bottle caps, right?

Any followup to this topic. Im looking at a XPS 7390 with you guessed it a 10th gen Intel Core i7-10710U.

Watching this video in 2022 cause I just found a great deal on this laptop. Just realized though it has a TDP of 25 watts specifically, not 15

The only 13” device with 6 core cpu. Fast forward 4yrs later we literally have 14cores laptop

with great power, comes great responsibility
