I had a dude come up and start giving advice to a player at my table, i asked him if he wouldn't and he told me "Well I was thinking about becoming a judge so..."
Ответитьthis is cheating at a tournament, so if it happens there, call a judge
ОтветитьI had an opponent who asked a friend a rules related question. His friends response lead him to attack. Yeah, when we got a judge involved, he learned his friend was wrong and it cost him the game.
Moral of the story, ask someone who knows the rules when you have a question.
For anyone wondering, the question was the interaction between Protection From and Trample. I had a large green creature with trample and my opponent had a creature with protection from green.
His friend told him the creature with protection from green would block all of the damage from my trample creature resulting in him taking no damage.
The actual ruling is the creature with trample only has to assign lethal damage. It doesn't have to deal lethal damage, so the trample damage would still carry over.
If it’s a rules question or someone is still very new and learning the game then this is fine. Just gotta have some awareness of the situation.
People flexing and interfering in some randoms game is not cool tho.
I only give advise either after the game or on rules. If I'm in the game I may, depending on the event and their familiarity with mtg
