Thank you to everyone that have helped us get this far! We want you to know just how truly grateful and appreciative we are of all our Brains and Hearts and everyone who has taken even just a moment out of their day to learn a little more about ADHD. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. ❤
ОтветитьI always struggle with my thoughts and think why I am such a bad luck girl😢😢
Hat's off who ace adhd and move on to life ahead❤
You're like the Jeff Nippard of ADHD related content
ОтветитьMy therapist sent me here!
ОтветитьWow that intro is SUPER annoying and I had to stop it within .5 seconds.
ОтветитьSlowing down the verbal delivery on this intro video by just 20% will make a big difference to being able to absorb the the message. I was always in catchup mode deciphering was was just said.
ОтветитьAlready this video makes me feel better about myself and taught me something new. Thank you <3
ОтветитьThe first 10 seconds is BS, and the rest is verbal diarrhea
Ответитьhad to watch it a few times, still dont know anything. Is this literally a focus test o0
ОтветитьI LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! I don't have ADHD, but since getting Long Covid I find I'm having to re-learn how to navigate the world with a whole new brain. I love your simple, upbeat, non-judgmental videos. They give me a lot of hope and motivation.
ОтветитьVideo summary...
Excuses
I even mask when I’m alone because of shame. I just started treatment:) I’ll get more and more relief.
ОтветитьThe intro was great lol
ОтветитьI just watched your TedX and can really relate to your story. I have spent 36 years masking because of a deep rooted belief from childhood I was broken and not living up to my potential. I have now probably destroyed my marriage because I didn’t understand how much it impacts everything I do. Even with a diagnosis and medication I am still learning how many other things are symptoms.
ОтветитьI saw this today on New Years Eve and it changed my outlook. Realizing I just have to be ME in this world 🌎. Maybe masking has done me more harm than good. As the parent of two ADHDers. Maybe with my oldest I messed up by encouraging him to mask instead of be himself. Maybe I subconsciously taught him that who he is not okay. And maybe that is what was done to me.
ОтветитьThank you so much!!
Ответитьi'm here after watching her ted x talk speech. Thank you for that emotional yet informative speech. i get to understand myself better and realized how unique i am. you're amazing! ❤️
Ответитьa better quality of life, that is it. that's the post.
Ответитьi have adhd and aspergers
i hope to lern from you about my adhd :D
That made me teary. Thank you!!!
Ответитьis it just me or when i say a word in my head repeatedly many times i forget the maning of it?
for e.g. i repeat the word little in my mind and “sort of” forget the meaning
I am lost. I’ve been without medication for 25 years. I use antidepressants and caffeine for ADHD. I can’t find proper info for behavior change for my level. I’m high functioning daydreamer. I’m a truck driver so it’s perfect for my wiring, but computers, apps, passwords, metrics are starting to take over and fully expose me as a very bad employee. I know I don’t have to explain to the tribe, but my boss, hr, and coworkers. I’m sharing the TEDTALK, but I don’t know if they get it. FYI, this is my wife’s account because computers and passwords.
ОтветитьAs someone who suffers from severe ADHD that has been difficult to medicate and has difficulty with everyday functioning, this channel has been absolutely invaluable to me and I appreciate you so much for making it. Do you have a discord server or know of any particular ones you could recommend? I'm interested in finding a community of folks with similar struggles that I could meet and chat and maybe swap ideas and stories with
ОтветитьI don't have ADHD, but this channel and all its incredible content is helping me out so much it's crazy. I have the sensory processing sensitivity trait (high sensibility), it's big thing is getting overwhelmed easily - and I'm finding a lot of struggles that you tackle to be the exact same ones I get when overwhelmed. Only it's near impossible to find sensitive, informed and practical advice for people like me (most of content is romanticising the trait while completely ignoring it's "downsides" for the lack of a better term). I want you to know how incredibly important and prescious is the work that you do. It's quite rare to have so much content in such a pleasant, lovely and creative form! And I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me out and teaching me skills that would otherwise take me years to learn on my own. Seriously, I'm getting emotional just thinking about what a difference has happened since coming across your channel. Best wishes to you 💗
ОтветитьToday I was diagnosed with ADHD. I am 34. This is the first channel on yt I've been directed to and it's great.
I feel a bit relieved but at the same time I am scared, but I am really glad I ended up here.
Hi Brains, I am happy I can join your club.
Nice video but speech and text graphics are way too fast for me to obtain. Please provide slower paced information for neuro divergent people like myself. Helen
Ответитьhi i love your Content that u make i have autism
ОтветитьJust a question: do you have a video on this channel about adhd and alcohol?
ОтветитьThe fish has the beech to try to get to the top of the tree somehow
ОтветитьFound this channel after randomly stumbling across your Ted talk.
ОтветитьThanks to this channel I learned how to work with my brain not against it, because of that I did what I thought I would never be able to focus long enough to do which if get my general education degree! Thank you so much
ОтветитьYou're so inspirational it makes me want to cry!
I'm so happy we have you
Finding your channel has helped me so much. I love that I can learn about my ADHD while laughing, especially after so much crying. And now I have the words that help explain me! I DIDN’T KNOW I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND ME! People with and without ADHD can really “get it”. Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьBeautiful! Thank you for the great value you contribute to the community about ADHD education in such a fun-to-watch way with your charming self. I love the distinct blue and purple too.
ОтветитьHello Jessica, I am a student of Psychology in Brazil and I am both in the Autism Spectrum and have ADHD. Your videos have been helping me a lot but I have peers in college and that are also in the spectrum and have ADHD that cannot access your content as easily since they are not fluent in English.
I was hoping if it would be possible for me to subtitle your videos for Portuguese speaking audiences. It would be of great help to share them for both personal and academic purposes.
I have a Pavlovian happy response to “hello brains!” Thank you from a gal diagnosed at 37 and finally knew I’m not dumb, just divergent!
ОтветитьThank for your channel. My 15 yo daughter has been struggling with “something” for years. Her struggles really manifested during covid and puberty. She was diagnosed with depression and given antidepressants which didn’t help. Finally a school counsellor suggested we look into ADHD. I then found your page and recognize a lot of what you have described in my daughter. It’s been tough trying to get an assessment here in Sask., Canada but her doctor is finally ready try new medication with her. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts, feelings and struggles.
ОтветитьThis an excellent overview of your channel. 🖤
Do you have any resource suggestions for writers who are trying to create authentic neurodivergent characters? General googling often leads to inaccurate information and stereotypes.
I got a big stuggle atm. Im currently getting diagnosed for adhd (although im 99% sure of me having it. For me its like knowing i got a broken leg but havent had an xray yet) my biggest stuggle is i dont want to burden people with it. It feels like they have to change the way they do things around me because of it. I feel like im begging for petty when all i want is to be able to interact easier with people and in the end i only feel like a burden
ОтветитьShe knows what she's talking about.
Ответить♡♡
ОтветитьI just recently started my journey towards figuring out what underlying issues cause my anxiety because I'm just constantly anxious, fidgeting, have a hard time hearing clearly and just so many other things that I never in a million years thought could possibly be ADHD. I just turned 29 and almost feel stupid for hinting at the fact that I want to be tested for ADHD but I seriously need to understand myself better.
ОтветитьOh wow, Jessica!!!!
I love this SOOOOOO MUCH!!! 😍
I've been sharing some of your videos in the hopes that people might understand me better, but no one ever comments. I do believe this shorter synapses might help.
Thank you soooooo much for everything you do! Very much appreciated!! 🤗💙✌
What does neurodevelopmental disorder mean exactly?
ОтветитьYou make me feel understood
ОтветитьI get so emotional every time I watch one of your videos
ОтветитьThank you. For saying this. I know you already said it in "My Channel Was a Bit Ableist When I Started Out", but it really means a lot to hear...to this ADHDer. 🤧
ОтветитьThank you so much. I like your videos. you teach me to keep my head up and to keep figuring myself out. You are amazing person! Thank you!
