I think you've pointed out a fundamental flaw with Bethesda's games - leveling isn't necessary. It can definitely make the game easier to add skills/stats but you don't need any of it to progress; all they do is save time/reloads or add some fun. As opposed to more skill based games like Zelda where you generally must learn to use the different tools in order to progress and eventually beat the game. Even speech is basically useless in Fallout 3 and 4, although it can save you quite a bit of fighting in New Vegas.

There's always a different type of animal outside super duper mart. Literally could be dogs, yao gaui or deathclaw. But they are always really low health.

The intro of Fallout 3 always gets me. Fallout 1 and 2 feel like you're stepping into a hostile world that's out to get you, but you can choose to tackle problems in a civil way, while Fallout 3 just goes HAHA MURDER!

I'd say the hardest part of moiras quest, is placing the beacon in the mirelurk nest without killing any of the mirelurks.

Noob tip: slap the game into very easy difficulty, and just run there and back.. tank the hits with med x or use a stealth boy.

Pro tip: bring dog meat! The quest only fails the optional objective if YOU kill the things. When dog meat gets some crab Rangoon 🦀.. the game still thinks you did it peacefully 🤣👍

fun fact if you go into the place beside the bomb that sells food in megaton and read the terminal notes it spawns 300 caps in the safe that plus silvers money is a great start. fun fact 2 behind miss gibsons shack on the docks sits a trader you can kill for a Chinese assault rifle and some good early stuff. bonus fact b line it to rivit city to do the harkness quest for the the unique plasma rifle and the perk from zimmer for finding the android kill zimmer right after grab the int bobble head. this is getting long ill leave it at that hopefully someone finds this useful or interesting
