All this earthly intellectual debate about truth and God is just like a bubble of the ocean on what God is. It's just so much noise.

My problem with Bp. Barron is that he gets out there as a televangelist but is squishy on the controversial aspects of the church, just like a politician! The “dare we hope” is an exercise of futility that many modern theologians love to occupy their time. Yes we wish all are saved but free will and choices people have to make precludes that! Even Jesus himself never bothered to entertain such notion as he explained in the “wide and narrow gates” parable! Waste of time unless you’re a liberal trying to slowly condition Catholics to accept heresies like universalism. Also Barron has proven to be squishy when going on shows that might challenge church teaching like on homosexuality (Dave Rubin’s show) or the Catholic Church’s divine superiority over all other religions (Ben Shapiro’s show). If you are going to be a pr man for our faith you better have a big spine like Bp. Sheen! Bp. Sheen would have no qualms teaching all of Church teaching no matter the audience and they can either take it or leave it. Sheen won the love and admiration from both Catholics and non-Catholics because of that and that was a time of far stronger anti-Catholic sentiment too. I am not bashing Barron but I admit I don’t trust him upholding the faith to any audiences. I am sorry if that offends Barron fans out there but that’s how I feel. I have to say that whether one listens to Barron, Taylor Marshal, Michael Voris, the Remnant, Jimmy Martin, etc, one must do research on all of the Church’s 2,000 years of history and teaching to make sure these guys are right and not take any of what they say as gospel. Another words one should truly catechise oneself and be knowledgeable and not leave theology to theologians who are fallible and fall into error!

It's called the Fatima prayer in case you are praying the rosary without saying this part and it was given to us by Our Lady at Fatima.

Regarding hell, I have a theory possibly a point of discussion at some time?
Consider the moment of death & the experience of judgement AND finally the realisation of the amazing enveloping love of God in that moment! Well hell in my opinion would be the separation from His love.

Bishop Barron was instrumental in me coming into the Church, and I'll forever be grateful, and I remain a big fan of his. But I do disagree with the suggestion of hoping in universalism. I get it. I think, for any given person, we may hope that God's mercy will reach them and win them over somehow, even if we can't see it. But the danger of deception and hell is strongly emphasized in the parables of Jesus. Anyone who has lived knows how easy it is to follow our own way, and how doing so darkens our consciences. Then, when we wake up, repent, and embrace the truth again, we are often shocked at how far we had fallen, not being able to see it before then. No, hell is a very real danger. It is the end result of living my life as if I am the final arbiter of what is good and evil. Living like that deceives me and leads to destruction. Jesus is the light and the truth. Staying in union with him is the way of salvation.

I just heard an apologist on EWTN say if we are raised without Jesus, taught what we are taught, God will judge if we "rejected" him. Can't reject what you don't believe. Why we are so interested in who will get in reminds me of the joke where a guy is brought into heaven and St Peter is showing him around. To cut to the chase, he asked at the end, who was in the room he asked him to be quiet in passing. He said the Catholics, they think they are the only ones here and we make them happy by not telling them.

How about the defense of knowledge ?If you are gay or transgender or know someone who is, this is important information! It has been determined that sexual orientation is determined in the womb during fetal development. Various hormones such as testosterone are introduced at specific times & amounts which determine physical, biological & psychologic features of the fetus It is, therefore, not a choice by the fetus or mother & consequently not a sin & not immoral. It is a natural path of life’s evolution & found commonplace in nature. Extensive medical research clearly explains this process. Those who believe it is an abomination do so based not on facts but on religious authority. I totally accept that this is their right to believe this and I understand. It must be made clear however, it is based on religion not science. If you are truly interested in the truth based on knowledge, facts & research, the book Gay, Straight & the Reason Why by Dr. Simon Levay explains this with numerous research articles. If you want to understand the truth & have respect for others & yourself, this book will help. It also has, unlike the bible written over 2000 years ago by men that had, unfortunately, no understanding of science, an extensive bibliography. I strongly recommend the book if you want solid factual understanding. If you chose to respond to me, please read this book &/or the numerous articles referred to in the reference section beforehand. I do not want to waste your or my time if your claim to understanding is based on religion. The public must be exposed to facts & knowledge. It is an obligation for those who know the truth & defend it. Don’t let the religious pull you down to their level of ignorance. Peace

Robert Barron is a universalist. But the unfortunate twist is, according to Current contemporary RCC doctrine, Barron is simply “towing the line”. The heresy has become widespread within the church.

God loves the world and love is eternal, forgives all things, justly saves, helps, heals, its goodness leading to repentence, even as salting coals on the head and a consuming fire, bringing all to Jesus, that they confess unto salvation, every knee freely bowed, reconciling the world to our Father.

No body likes this video. You can choose other title to talk about and if you don't have anything to say good just stop talking. Atleast pray instead of rushing to talk in media, that's not the spirit of catholicism. Atleast Bishop Barron is trying to do his own buisness.

All you can cite against the idea that we can hope all are saved is opinion. I find nothing BINDING in Catholic teaching that refutes what Bishop Barron has said and I have searched diligently. The notion that without a populated hell Catholicism is empty or without purpose is utterly ridiculous to me. I think all this is nothing more than the human need for revenge even if it is at the hands ofGod and not them. Even worse. It’s not just your desire that others pay, it’s that they need to pay eternally or you’re not satisfied, even if God might be. Fortunately I am not required by the Church to think like you in order to be Catholic. Thanks be to God. And thank God for Bishop Barron.

Our parish priest who very reverence & has brought back many traditions back into the church, kneeling, on the tongue if want, no Altar girls, not afraid to speak the truth or EM etc. for Christmas he gave us “This is My Body” by Bishop Barron & for Lent Fr. Jay & the Deacon took it a step further & had classes & videos on this wonderful topic in the Eucharist. Many who are in the Traditionalism dislike him b/c he’s after VII & they don’t give him a chance & listen! Like Taylor Tim Kennedy Hall. If you have the book & not share who wrote the would all agree this is Catholic!!

"the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand" (Ezekiel 3)

So, can our failure to intercede damn people to hell as Ezekiel implies? In a sense, "this is the condemnation" (John 3) for our collective failures have already done so. Our failures, though, have never "limited the Holy One of Israel" (Psalm 78) despite our thoughts to the contrary.

However, Christ as the perfect priest, suffers no moral deficiency and has already paid the Precious Blood "I require at thine hand". As redeemed sinners the baptized enjoy a privileged priestly participation in the work of Christ through evangelization and the sacraments. Christ however is the only one who saves, for "He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 John 2) regardless of our meritorious participation.

"I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not heal him. 'O unbelieving and perverse generation!' Jesus replied. 'How long must I remain with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to Me" (Matthew 17)

"In hope, the Church prays for all men to be saved" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, part 3, section 1, chapter 1, article 7, paragraph 1821)
