Thank you for this. It's a really good recreation of that awful day. I was on the other side of the city when this happened. Just stepped out of my hooch that morning and lit up a cigarette when I heard and felt the explosion. I will never forget that exact second. It was so loud I thought it was my buddy Erik's station a mile away instead of the 3 miles away it really was. I have always felt bad that I was relieved that it wasn't his station. I remember meeting Haerter briefly. I was a Sgt and a squadleader and I remember how respectful he was to me and had never even met me before that. Could tell he was a good kid. Turned out to be the best kind of man he could possibly be. I had the great honor to be in the honor guard at Quantico for his and Yale's Navy Cross ceremony (I think I am in the pic you have of that in the credits). We never know what the future holds and how much of a difference we can make. These two forever young men had no problem stepping up and making the ultimate difference for so many people and they will be remembered forever for it.

I served with Lt. Kelly in Lima. He was a mustang and damn good one. Very smart and grounded platoon commander and he is missed. Get some!

This hurt to watch. This felt good to watch. It felt good to know their are men out there willing to sacrifice for their country. This hurt to watch knowing it was for an illegal war brought on by politicians, the military industrial complex and oligarchs. As an 0321 man, serving a total of 12 years, I’ve been to Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, etc. as a contractor later in Syria, Africa, and back to Afghanistan. Now watch the same thing happen but in Europe. Yes, only our operators our their now, but soon it will be us again fighting a more worth opponent. You think it was hard fighting half as militias, wait till we are fighting one with the same air superiority, naval capabilities, etc. I got out before the military got less missions capable (2015). I can’t imagine losing more good men in another senseless war. Forgive my tangent. This this short was well done. It made miss and not miss all it embodies. Would I do it again…in a heart, for my brothers. But never again for the power hungry elite. Semper Fi.

Watch this a million times ...

Can someone explain me the American idea of patriotisim. Like how come some lad from east texas or else having no clue whats going on in the world or even in his own country goes happily to serve and die thousand miles and many seas away from home to defend America’s freedom.
Like what is America freedom doing in Iraq or Somalia or any African or middle eastern place. What these places have to do anything with defending America.
These lads seems to be quite simple and good ones. But isn’t it their naive-ness.
Coz willing to lay your life for defending home, family, freedom, retaliation against religous persecution, right or wrong. These things i understand. They are worth to die for. But becoming a feul for exon mobil or Shell or any petro shark or arms manufacturing shark and for that getting send off to a country on seperate continent in the name of defending freedom. Or for the promise if college tution getting paid, While kids of those financial conglomerates are safe and sound in Harvard, Yale or Ivy league getting to become future sharks. This concept dosent click anymore.

War on terror, yeah right! The real reason was to steal oil from the Iraqis. You murdered 1 million people for oil. You destroyed a sovereign country, for oil. None of the soldiers in the US forces are hero's! Only murderers! Weapons of mass destruction was also bullshit. There's nothing heroic about what the US did in Iraq, Afgabistan, Syria and Libya. It was murder of innocent people and the destruction of these countries! The US and its Western allies are the axis of evil. Greedy politicians that lie to its citizens! In situations like this they should always build a trench about three or 4 feet deep that way no lorry can go beyond that trench, unless you put some boards down for them to travel across.

Americans need to wake up, they fight and die to serve the politicians that don't care at all about their wellbeing. The Iraqi war was based in lies and deceptions from the government that cost over 5 Trillion dollars, impacting severely the economy of our USA, many died, about 1,000,000 Iraqis, mostly civilians and American soldiers too, This was a disgracefull and stupid war, at the end no one benefited, for sure our USA didn't. But the worse example ever is what the curse of Biden did, he left 87,000,000,000 EITHGTY SEVEN BILLION DOLLAS IN THE LASTED MILITARY EQUIPMENT, AIRPLANES AND HELYCOPTERS IN THE HANDS OF THE ENEMY AND ALSO LEFT MORE THAN 3,000 Americans and allies in the hands of the our enemies the Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, and stupid voters keep on voting for the same Traitors Democrats which their main objective is to completely destroy our USA.
