I Bought a PORTABLE PS2 from Aliexpress...

I have seen Modern Vintage Gamer's video on this device and yeah this is an ok device but when you play games that have cutscenes the USB 1.0 data read speeds really chokes on those vs the Disc drive and that alone would stop me from getting it. If some how they could emulate a hard drive via an SD card like they could on mods of the actual console then yeah this device would be worth picking up because of faster data read speeds.

I know this is a year old, but I would like to mention that these are still made due them being not original hardware. It's original hardware, just remade. The PS2 chips were not that special. In fact you could of run Windows XP off of it or Linux. Some of the components of the PS2 are still made. This is legit hardware, because the board are just new manufactured board that work the same as PS2.

If you opened it and found solder debris than it likely was never tested working from the get go. For an artisan price i'd expect a working unit w/polish regardless of where its from. You can buy RPi kits with 3d printed parts for more than half the price.

Oh god... that entire shell, along with the buttons, are 3D printed in SLA... super brittle. The PCB hackery inside is very rough. The whole thing is a prototype.
