ОтветитьI started a diet on December 13th, 2022, after my weight hit 396. I've lost over 60 pounds. I started weight lifting on January 1, with a focus on strengthening my back. I'm proud to say that my traps are one of the most visible improvements to my body, along with my shoulders and chest. I've a long ways to go, but now that I know I can add muscle, I want more. It's really addictive.

ОтветитьIn my opinion, Hang Clean is the best upper trap workout there is. Most people think of it as just sport performance workout, but the amount of overload plus the range of motion stimulates amazing gains. I like to mix in Snatch as well for even more range of motion, however, you can't get as much overload.

ОтветитьMeh. You do you, but my traps get enough work with rows and various other movements that put secondary emphasis on them. Plus I have genetics. I just really don't find the benefit in adding 15 minutes to my workout doing shrugs, any more than I do wrist curls for my forearms. Pretty sure those are getting enough of a workout as well. Although, to be honest, if you don't curl your thumb around on quite a few movements. you can take your forearms almost entirely out of a movement and refocus the stress on the muscle you're actually looking to hit.

It's kind of like in Arnold's Encyclopedia. There are a few other things you realize are secondary, but mainly if you want to work upper chest, it's basically just incline presses.
What about the dead lifting bar for shrug?

ОтветитьLet me tell you and it reminded me-power cleans had my traps on fire 🔥 when I 1st did them and doing that exercise at a heavy enough weight is better than some of those variations
