I'm not saying it's right, and I don't want to defend their behavior, but as far as the agents being uncaring goes, it's likely that the agents that have been in the industry longer seem more uncaring than the agents just starting out. Like you said, 80% of the girls are going to be gone in the first year. Caring about people, co-workers, anyone, requires a certain emotional investment, and I know if I were an agent and started out giving that time and emotional investment into say, 10 girls, and then within 9 months 8 of them were no longer around and that happened year after year, I would not only be more conscious of which girls I gave those investments to, but would quickly learn to recognize which girls were likely to stick around and which ones weren't, and invest myself where it would do the most good for me.
