Of all the Religions sent by God to humanity, it was only within Christianity, followed by Islam, then Judaism, that a movement from within led certain leaders to wish for a Theocracy. But what is overlooked by the proponents of such a joining together of State and Religion was that neither Religion was intended to have lasted as long from a theological perspective and be viable and relevant in later stages of human evolution.

When any Religion extends itself beyond its pre-Ordained period of efficacy, and refuses to step aside so that the next Religion sent by God can continue the work begun by the former Dispensation and its Messenger, then confusion and chaos inevitably arose, and a desperation to try and fit the 'Old' Religion in a new phase in human evolution and the attempt to reconcile the Texts of the past with the needs and problems of a future era arose.

Christian Nationalism is just one symptom of the illness within Christianity as a result of it being out of synch with the unique needs of our Era; Christian Nationalism is just one of the outcomes of trying to align Christianity with politics and its divisive nature and with all the other special social and moral issues never heard of during the advent of Jesus, Muhammad, Moses, the Buddha, etc.

Politics is of such a toxic and volatile nature that it has poisoned even more a Christianity which was already mortally wounded from moral corruption from within dating back to the onset of the Middle Ages. The unique social and moral issues of our era were not meant to be addressed by any of the earlier Religions sent by God. Which is why there has to constantly be a renewal of Religion to be able to help a growing and evolving humanity by giving it a renewed moral and ethical "Prescription" to fit the new era/epoch in humanity's never-ending stages of evolution. That renewal is called "The Baha'i Faith", and its Messenger(Divine Physician) is Baha'u'llah.
