What happened to DayZ? I haven't watched videos of this game in I'd say 7-8 years, man I remember it being glitchy, clunky, more zombie heavy survival. DAMN this game has turned into something great

so i have some questions. I want to buy this game, but it looks massively time consuming. Not really the issue though. can you not secure metal doors? or make them? or rock? as far as videos go, yours seem to be the best ones, but honestly, i am seriously into builder type games, and is there a time limit on the servers? you can't just pick one and stay? ANY input would be appreciated. convince me to buy it. also, does it cross platform?
