I did my basic training in Aldershot in 85 and we would see these young men, smart, polite and a credit to their race and regiment, these are men of honour to a man.

These Gurkhas are very limited but good watch dogs. I like dogs so this is not said in derogatory fashion. Overrated but kind and brave. My main problem is that they serve british empire of scum

From my personal experience being a coward is the same as being dead, you arent capable of standing up for your self or others, you dont feel capable of dealing with life, there is no you because you are a coward, there is only what society tells you to be, coward like me are conformists and depend on social recognition for their good deeds, i found that when i let go of what i want to have which bothers me the most, when i am less selfcentered, that i am less afraid of anything and that i feel better and that i am a better person, that i treat People less like enemies and understand their behavior better. Perhaps what my problem truly was, was how i percieved People around me, the society i live in, and my past. Maybe that made me such a coward. I felt power less and unable to Deal with life and People around me. I only feel good when i dont obsess over the things that i wish to have,it seems that it makes me feel better. At least that is what i have noticed. It is Truly terrible to feel weak.

My grandfather fought alongside a regiment of Gurkhas in WWI. A story made the rounds in the trenches. A German and a Gurkha met head on, The German drew his bayonet and swung it, barely missing the Gurkha. "Ha ha", the Gurkha swung while he laughed. The Gurkha quickly drew his kukri and swung it at the German's neck. "Ha Ha", laughed the German laughed...you missed me too!" "No I didn't," laughed the Gurha...wait till you try to turn your head."

It's all about sustained acute rifle fire followed up by management and position, it's the British way, but what these guys do is introduce passion , ferocity, and some of the bravest men I've ever encountered in my lif, same goes for the figian lads, it's like having end game units in a computer game, we are little in number but our skill , courage and discipline makes the British armed forces one of the most feared on the planet. We can do with 80 men and a hand full of rounds what the yanks need 2000 men , 10 helicopters and 2 A 10s. Love my American brothers and they are fearless but 10 good men can beat a 100.

I've worked with Gurkhas and without being overly negative...If on patrol in the jungle they happen to find a nibong tree they will stop soldiering and promptly hack it down even in a tactical situation. Stop believing the hype. They are a liability TBH, please stop these urban myths from your armchairs..Your grandad from the war never left the potwash but you believe his B.S!

Disgusting !! I knew a gurkha who got blown up, shot and saved several of his comrades, but then appoligised for not doing better !! Fcking unbelievable and the humidity is amazing.
