Great package demo. Love what a few simple manipulations can add to the overall mix. As for myself, I don’t own a copy of Auto-Tune; however, I think I could use Melodyne, which comes bundled with my pro version of Studio One to perform some of the pitch moves demonstrated; but, for some real fun, I like to send vocals to an old TC Helicon Voice Live unit and play around with some of the presets on that and blend that into the mix.

I use auto tune differential I use it on chords organs and horns

Love you Cato. I been using the Mic Mod also . It's my favorite out of all of them . I finally found something that truly changes my SM7B and NT1A sound like night and day for the better. Just the shear size of my vocal sound is incredible with it. Totally worth the subscription price with that alone for me. Appreciate your wisdom. You got mad skills.

Your right it sounded insane but when you mixed it together it wasn't unpleasant, very Today sounding.

Sorry, I've never been a fan of Autotune or Melodyne at all. I find that it takes all of the raw emotion out of a vocal and too many artists seem to be hiding behind it. If I do any pitch correction, I prefer to do it manually and try to preserve the rawness of the track.

I think with the talkbox plugin, you're meant to sidechain a carrier signal into the plugin to really get the talkbox effect. Wished you demoed this feature but great video overall!

That was taxing to listen to. I think I need to listen to some really great music from the 70's and 80's now - free of Autotune! 🙂

It's a wonderful (& way overpriced, IMO) product suite.

All of the extra Antares tools are a waste of time due to the subscription and the better, more useful alternatives from lots of other, Sound Toys, Fab Filter, Waves, etc.. . Autotune is an absolute necessity on the vocal chain, even if it's just hardly touching the vocals, to make a producers live easier.

I got the bundle because of the harmony engine. I've so disciplined myself to use my cubase stock plugins for my mixes yeah! I'm caught in the 1 daw bubble. This is why mixing with presets is not good at times cause it's limiting guess I'll start digging deep to that plugins I already have. Thanks man

Whoever mixed Cher......we have to find them and punish them for creating auto-tune...LOL. Auto-tune has came a long way and has it's place as an effect instead of a fix-me-quick tool. Cheers

I love some of the features on this. I use similar techniques on vocals. I'm a big fan of sidechaining sub octaves and tube saturation. It gives a full body to vocals. I imagine that's a plug in you would spend hours just seeing what sounds you could get. Also, that mic emulator is gold for budget studio like my own.

Whoever that is singing in your video---- real bad. Anyone who needs to use AutoTune because they can't really sing--- go get a job at McDonalds, you're not a true musician.

WTF Warren? Hugely disappointed that a guy of your accomplishments and musical knowledge would be pumping this garbage which you do NOT need to use. As far as I am concerned, Auto Tune should be totally banned. If people can't sing and hit the notes, then they should do something else. What a load of BS. Did the Beatles and the Beach Boys and Frank Sinatra and Elvis need AutoTune and "pitch correction"? Ella Fitzgerald and Bille Holiday and Pavarotti and Maria Callas? NO NO NO! NO NO NO! And also, dissonance is perfectly OK and has always been a part of music. I could go on, but I won't. Stop promoting the use of this incredibly terrible software which is destroying music. People's natural voices don't need it.

Listen, anyone that has a hard time with tuning really needs to wake up. It is in EVERY MODERN professional mix. Well not every but way more than most people may think it is. Autotune has a whole different sound besides the tuning sound (T-Pain or Cher) and people like to hear it. I do this for a living and Autotune is on 90% of the mixes I do. Across all genres. It's just a fact. Sometimes it may be set to Chromatic and be turned down low, but it's there.

I've only just started doing vocal stuff as I've always been a instrumentalist. But my current project requires me to create a voice of a completely androgynous looking and sounding android. So far I've used the Pro E.Q. in Studio One, Waves OVox, Waves Ultra Pitch, and the Leapwig Ultravox. It's getting close, but it's difficult getting the OVox and the dry voice to balance properly where it'll sound equally male and female. Perhaps some of these tools would be useful in solving some of those issues Not sure if I need the whole suite though.
