-DISCLAIMER- I initially made this video as part of a fun hobby project without thinking it would get this much attention. I used a bunch of other peoples artwork and music to do it and as such this video is not monetised in any way. In this first episode we go back to the very beginning of human life in Britain.

Note: The exact identity of the human species found at Happisburgh is a little more up in the air than this video makes it sound. Currently academic consensus looks to be moving towards Homo antecessor as the correct identity, however the stone tools found at Pakefield and Boxgrove are almost certainly from Homo heidelbergensis. This was simplified to Homo heidelbergensis in the video for the sake of brevity. Homo heidelbergensis may also have been ambush predators on top of scavengers and fishers.

Its arrogant to just assume that because we havent found any tools from said period, that humans didnt use them. 😂 And also, just because it became cold, doesn't mean everyone left. You do know, there are people living in the arctic right?

As an English teacher for foreign students, this is the creme de la creme, I strive to learn as much as I can about our history. I wasn't the brightest student in history thus I never paid enough attention to it until I devoured books about it. I don't have the best general knowledge and I mainly teach business. However knowing about our origins other than simply believing we descended from Adam and Eve is far more important. I'm more and more inclined to believe that religious nonsense is rather limited and uneducated whilst reflecting upon our history makes us better comprehend who we are. I don't mean to stir up controversy by any means but I feel I need to learn more about our origins rather than simply adhere to a belief system.
