I'd say privacy must always be a serious issue for people with DID.....there will always be alters in the background who are able to see and possibly hear what you are doing and saying. If you put a private note in your phone for example and set security measures on the phone to keep it private....other alters in the background could see the password or passcode you set for it.....and of course you definitely can't use the fingerprint recognition...although the facial recognition might work..by wearing whichever makeup look was worn at the it was set

Heyy! ive got a few questions regarding anxiety/ panic attacks with DID. As someone who suffers them regularly i just wondered if they are common in systems( because of trauma or other reasons) or if it can be that just some specific alters suffer (from?) them? is it possible that they cause switches and if yes, can this switch kind of make it better or even stop it? with the last one does it make a difference if it would switch to an alter that doesnt suffer from them (again only if that is possible)? Btw you make great content and much love from Germany!

I don't have DID, and I love watching your videos to get insight into how your minds work. Just picking up on little things like not sharing tr*uma memories between alters, just in case I ever meet someone who has this disorder, I have some idea of how to treat them. I briefly thought about using notebooks when I remembered, I have only one alter who's able to front (me, the host.) what I do instead though, is i try to meditate once in a while (at least twice a week) where I look into myself and try to find other alters to speak with.
Even though I'm the only one who's able to front, I still have four other alters inside of me, and as such I feel like I have to coordinate certain things with them. It's also their body, they are here too. I might be the only one able to front, but I'm not the only one.

I have someone in ly life that has DID. They are fully aware of their own system, but is terrified to start a healing process or even telling a therapist because of previous bad experiences. So I don’t have DID but I do dissociate from reality and also have age regression (from childhood trauma) and I love coming here to see things that can also be confusing and how to fix them

We have a journal that only our 2 persecutors, our gatekeeper and our avenger are allowed to look in. It makes it a safe space for them to vent about things that I, as the host, and other nontrauma holders in the system dont know about and also allows them to have conversations about past situations and people. I would recommend if it would work for any systems in the comments that you give it a go. It just allows a non-judgmental safe space for alters who hold a lot of trauma.

heyyyyyyy I just realized something— so nin and kyle integrated to become kya, and back when they were two seperate alters, nin said that she had memories of being chloe and nina (this video was filmed before nin and kyle integrated). so does that mean that kya has memories of being everyone combined so far??

sort of word-sumping but i had a friend in the past with DID and i never understood her or why she would sound different every so often through texts (we were long distance friends) or why our plans to meet often fell through. I had thought is was just a dissociation disorder because i had/have DP/DR . Discovering this channel helped me truly understand what was going on, and be able to give better empathy and support to people in general. you never know what someones going through. Me and that friend are just mutuals now but i hope she and everyone else with their unique system are doing well. Thank you for your videos :)

I remember reading "When Rabbit Howls" a few years back. It was an absolute mind-blowing experience, and a deeply stimulating novel. Are they any similarities between the depictions in the novel and the reality of how you experience it? (Of course I know people experience these things differently)

Hello, I am not someone with DID, but I recently stumbled upon your interview with Anthony Padilla and had a few questions that I was wondering if you wouldn't mind answering.

I know this may defer from system to system, but does each Alter have it's own memory? Lets say you go from Nin to Kyle, next time Nin presents, will she remember everything from the last time she was presenting?

Also, for any system that was diagnosed while in school-age how did you learn if you had poor communications between your alters? As a person without DID, I struggle to remember concepts. It must've been extremely difficult to learn something as one Alter, but have to take a test on it as another.

Since some alters do integrate with one another and have the memories, would it be ideal for the alters to integrate so eventually, there is just one or two to make life easier? That is, if no more alters surface and that I'm understanding the concept?

Do alters age as the system ages? For example, do littles get older so that they'll no longer be littles? etc.

If you only have two alters is it still called a system?

I never quite understood DID, I just never could imagine it, but you guys really put it into perspective, I appreciate that.

Our system has a bulletin board by our desk and a whiteboard calendar by the door. One of the alters in our system is the "head honcho" of organization, and he tends to keep everyone on track. Took a while to get to this point, but it helps and we're still finding more improvements as time goes on.

Wow, I saw the thumbnail and immediately went like "Yup, that's Nin." It's amazing how you can tell whether it's Chloe, Kyle, Nin, or Kya based solely on the makeup (or in Kyle's case, lack thereof)! The others are harder to tell based on appearance alone, but you can usually tell once they start talking.

Also, amazing content! The tips in this video are helpful, even to those without DID.

Hello, I know this video has been out for quite some time. However I do have a question about different languages between alters. There are a few alters in my system who do not speak any English and only speak Chinese or Vietnamese. To make things more complicated, they happen to be littles so they are unable to fully express their needs and wants in the language they know. Do you have any advice on how we can communicate with them?
