I favor a law that requires legislators to spend one hour per page reviewing proposed laws. The legislators (not staffers) must sign and time/date every page. Legislators who do not meet this requirement must be heavily fined, and ineligible to vote on that bill due to lack of knowledge of what the bill contains. I guarantee bills would become much shorter and understandable. It is time to force legislators to do their jobs.

Everyone I’ve seen slamming Trump’s policies from 2016-2020 must have been living in a different America from the one I lived in. Because for the first time in my memory, it actually felt like I was living in a powerful, wealthy nation like the one I was taught about in American history.
