Donk shove 97K into a 20K pot. This is the kind of stuff people do at low stakes. Great laydown but Phil also let him off the hook with a suboptimal play.
ОтветитьWorst commentary ever period pathetic 😢😢😢
ОтветитьPhil's eating oreos.... kid lays down a monster......
ОтветитьI think Doug was 50/50 until he induced Phil into table talk. After that it became more of a 90/10 laydown to call, and that's how Doug makes one of the most badass laydowns I've ever seen.
ОтветитьWell, it´s not that easy. What you need to consider here is the fact, that Phil made a huge overbet (it´s even a 4-bet) and even if Doug has a Straight here Phil could have tons of outs. Doug just has the "down" Str8 and Phil can have a set, a flush draw, a 10 or a Q with a draw. I think the fact that Phil made this huge overbet made Doug fold his hand. If you analyse this hand and especially the betsize Dougs read was 100% correct and he made the correct fold. Of course it´s a great fold anyway!
ОтветитьGreatest lay down of all time
Ответитьam I the only one thinking the whispering, then phone usage, then elbow bump looks so fishy?
ОтветитьQuite possibly the most you can ever own someone and lose the hand.
ОтветитьHe made an excellent fold. But 9/10 times that’s an insta call idc what anyone’s says. You have a straight. The seconds nuts. If he has it, he has it.
ОтветитьThat might have been the worst table talk all around- first, the peanut gallery clowns at the end of the table not even involved in the hand and then Phil basically begging Polk to call
ОтветитьThis feels scripted.
ОтветитьI’m not a particularly big fan of Doug Polk, but this is easily the best laydown I’ve ever ever seen.
ОтветитьIs Bord acoustic?
ОтветитьThe only thing faster than the speed of light is how fast I would push my chips in, stellar play Mr Polk
ОтветитьSome bad speech-play aside, let's give credit to Hellmuth. This is totally bizarre by him, intended to get Polk on tilt, and be impossible to read. And it nearly worked.
Ответитьnow this actually justifies a 'greatest fold ever' title, unlike the other 10000 vids with that title
ОтветитьHow often has hellmuth ever 10x overbet jammed the flop as a bluff before?
ОтветитьPhil is such a nit. He HAS a spade the only thing that could possibly beat him is a flush on that board. Unlikely they are even on a spade draw and he has a spade blocker. Could have stacked Doug here if he played all 3 streets.
ОтветитьThe fact Polk knows he's gonna see his cards eventually probably helped the fold
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant fold! Given that his opponent was Phil Hellmuth just makes it even better.
ОтветитьOnly players with a solid foundation in the math behind poker can find a fold like this
ОтветитьDoug will have watched this back and smiled
ОтветитьPhil obviously forgot that everything you do at the table conveys information
Ответитьphil opened his mouth and doug's fold equity went way upppppp
ОтветитьBest fold ive ever seen
ОтветитьThe best poker player in the world once again wins the minimum when he's made a hand
ОтветитьThis is why a slow roll doesn't exist unless you have the absolute nuts no matter what comes after the turn and river.
ОтветитьI could never lay that down in a million years. Amazing read for Doug.
Ответитьmore like the worst push of all time
ОтветитьGreat read. Terrible talk by Hellmuth. Bad etiquette by everyone else.
ОтветитьOne of my top five favorite bands! I think Doug would say this was a bad lay down in hind sight. Would guess that the equity pushed him to fold. But when you get jammed on and you beat all of the bluffs and you’re only beat by one of the value bets then you ship it off every time. Phil screwed up jamming on the flop. And then talking lol. Put $20k in there and then jam on the turn. Doug would’ve called it all off. Still a great hand.
ОтветитьYeah who ever the other guys on the table were I doubt they will be back on the show.
ОтветитьYeah - Pretty easy fold in the end
ОтветитьHellmuth as usual playing awful in cash games.
ОтветитьThe fold clearly shows the opponent might have something
Naegreanu would have folded in 1/10th of time
Shoving 10x pot with the nuts is just a terrible, terrible play. You’re literally forcing any hand to fold. This is an auto-fold for any hand that isn’t the nuts.
ОтветитьWhy did the guy in the beginning of the clip show everyone his duces, why would that be interesting to anybody ?
ОтветитьStupid play
ОтветитьHow does Polk fold that. I'm going broke there.
Ответить5 mins to decide to fold. 😂nope
ОтветитьRemember kids... even if you have a bad poker face, dont ever open your mouth.
ОтветитьKeep your mouth shut in front of the adults.
ОтветитьEasy fold, someone does that, they made their hand and has options. Not the greatest fold ever.
Ответитьnot so sure I would call it the greatest fold. But I definitely would call it the worst way to play the nuts!! How to win the minimum, brought to you by Phil Hellmuth.
ОтветитьHelmuth: "I may have a set" (please call, please call, please call)
Ответитьthe real question is ... would PHIL IVEY have made that fold?
ОтветитьU know ur a nit when a heads up player, who’s not on scared money, and is known for being a station; folds the second nuts to ur raise lol
ОтветитьGuy had no business saying "I think he folds this" while not in the hand.
ОтветитьEasy fold. Phil has a huge ego and would only shove all in with the nuts here. Can't risk looking foolish to try and win 13k. These guys are all afraid about how they're going to look on TV. Also Polk only loses very little by folding and patiently waiting for a different spot. The raise, while enticing makes no real sense. Why would Phil raise and risk so much just to win $13k? He has to have the nuts here.
