damn monkeys!
Happy Holidays everyone and Happy New Year! Thanks for watching :)
Sukuna is more like buddha
ОтветитьYou know something quite depressing I noticed that the same way toji talks to himself calling himself a "mere monkey" and everyone else not like him to be the "blessed ones" Geto fully giving in to either the depression or the rage and regret from losing riko and failing the thing that he believed and had to do that he leans into it he may not be the honored one but he is the "blessed one" and that he is the one to save those few sorcerers and make a world for them no more monkeys that get to sit back and enjoy the fruits of the blessed ones him being the highest one adorning the robes of Buddha and at that moment though even though Toji Fushigiro was the monkey king dead or alive he won in both gojo's and more importantly geto's world so at the end Toji was right "you got beat by a monkey who couldn't even use Jujutsu" and that's how he died
Ответить“Be more greedy”
Ответитьis that hollow knight music??
ОтветитьI feel like this Manga is a battle of worldviews, where ironically all of the worldviews are correct. It just depends on which one crumbles first, leading to the death or metaphorical death of the initial character.
ОтветитьTo be fair pretty much EVERY major cursed spirit we encounter in the series is the byproduct of humanities most negative aspect's. Like how Yuji hates Mahito to such an intense degree it's because Mahito essentially embodies humanities pettiness, violence and narcissism. This is probably what drove Kenjaku nuts over a millennia ago it's an endless war because human's are endlessly depraved and destructive. It's a lot like Demon Slayer as well even Muzan himself was a bit of a victim of circumstance. Afflicted with a chronic illness before he was even born and then given a mutagenic medicine turning him into a demon. Human's sure do love f%^king around and finding out.
Ответитьgeto's path is very understandable yet still somber and tragic
ОтветитьSeems like geto was just waiting for some to say the right words to him. Yuki said it and he twisted it to save her and others that think alike. Her being special grade didn’t help with that either. This is the best written anime outside of AoT so far or Beserk.
ОтветитьI relate to yuki the most when it comes to this concept. See all sides and don’t really let it disturb be. Talk so freely thst I don’t think bring are on the verge of falling due to my freedom. Slightly insensitive but free to look
ОтветитьGojo didn’t think he power was bad so he liked the structure. Geto hates his power it’s gross. It’s manipulation. So he naturally hated how the power was set up.
ОтветитьSuguru is the Frauddha
Ответитьim there/here. resonant frequencies
ОтветитьUnfortunately I didn’t get his character because I was on a different device than normal and it skipped some very important scenes but still a great story!
ОтветитьHave you watched blue lock
ОтветитьHollow knight music :3
I wish we could've had enough screentime with mimiko and nanako for them to have their own video like this..
They deserved sm better :(
This also shows that the world of Jujustu Kaisen sorcerers as a whole needs to change. Who sends developing teens on psychologically traumatizing missions and then shows no support for them when those missions fail. They're practically creating villains and then are shocked when it comes back and bites them. We also see this with the current generation. Pretty sure Mai, Yuji and everyone else in both classes are under 21. No where near fully developed and yet are sent out on the most missions. Where are the adults? and for the adults present, the students outnumber them by far.
ОтветитьVery good breakdown, it helped me understand alot more, that is not written out. Connecting the dots. I struggled to understand it.
ОтветитьI feel like Geto was so pure and good... Im not satisfied at all with his downfall. It didnt make sense to me. I was expecting it to be alot more. Instead I feel like he just one day decided to be bad and cast away his morals. It upsets me. Geto had the choice to retire if he hated his job so much. He doesnt HAVE to ingest the curses.
ОтветитьAnother Fantastic video Sage, you're the man!
ОтветитьWill you ever make a video about vagabond?
Ответитьso many parallels with magneto...he could so say you're a god among ants and it wouldn't be out of character for him.
ОтветитьI think what really hit me when Satoru was confronting Suguru, was that Suguru didn’t ask Satoru to join him.
ОтветитьGeto took his duty of saving the weak and helpless seriously, while Gojo fought curses and saved people because he felt like doing it. One was a dedicated soldier, the other an aloof hero. It made it so Gojo was better prepared to handle his views challenged than Geto. Gojo, being above it all, would do whatever felt right to do regardless of what they may think, taking pride in himself. Geto was strong but conditioned into believing that he must sacrifice to help those onnocent, those who cannot help themselves, drawing pride from upholding the expectations placed on him.
The encounter with Toji, and the loss of someone they both cared for, lead to Gojo reaffirming his views, while Geto was left broken. The weak had toppled the strong, the civilians celebrated a young girl's murder, a girl he had failed to protect. The poor man was empty, and was sent back out into the field, back to his old duties. It was inevitable that Geto would reject it all for his own vision of how the world should be. He looked upon the world with fresh eyes, and knew the world needed change, but that those who thought like he had once thought would attempt to stop it. Geto, therefore, would do whatever necessary to make a better world for Sorcerers, so that they may live no longer haunted by the worst curse of them all: disgusting, lowly monkeys.
I believe you will hit 1M before the end of this year.
ОтветитьNgl Yuki Tsukumo caused geto to become like this....
ОтветитьYou gotta make a video about Subaru from Re:Zero
ОтветитьSir make Video On Kenjaku
Ответитьi think Geto's line to Gojo about his strength was the best thing he could have said to him. it was heartbreaking to Gojo at the moment, sure, but it made him truly think about how and for what purpose he has/uses his power. Geto's whole character is based on the need to have a righteous impactful purpose to continue using his very draining technique and Gojo not having any purpose despite his immense power was the only reason he couldn't understand Geto's struggles and Geto knew it. So the question "Are you the strongest because you're Satoru Gojo? Or are you Satoru Gojo because you're the strongest?" was something that pushed Gojo to find his purpose as the strongest sorcerer and probably helped him understand how Geto felt (even though it was too late to change anything, it still kept that strong connection they had even after a fall out)
ОтветитьWhat anime is this?
ОтветитьThis was an excellent analysis. My favourite character in JJK. Geto is the archetypal Sin Eater.
ОтветитьOnce again amazing Sage! Your wisdom and empathy for even the most tortured of souls is what this world needs more than ever! You should totally do an analysis on my favorite pro hero, Hawks!
ОтветитьDoes anyone have any cool book recommendations, preferably non fiction that are really good?
ОтветитьHe was living in a black and white world and forgot there’s grey😭🩶
Ответитьwhen is sage rain gonna do a deep dive on the character of arthur morgan, i need that now
ОтветитьThe Geto shower scene still haunts me. How the clapping from the cult blends in with the drops of water splashing in the shower. That scene tells so much without saying how messed up Geto is feeling since failing the mission.
ОтветитьGeto was ahead of the curve tbh it’s such a contradictory story
ОтветитьGeto is such a beautiful character in soul mind
Ответитьdo you know why i hate dubs its not cause they are total shit its because they can do better i grew up watching a lot of shows ,live action, animated ,theater but no matter how many times i come back to a dub the level of audio quality the mixing of audio the translations the performances of the v.a.'s its just not comparable it genuinely hurts me to hear something i know can be so much better
ОтветитьLove your videos, even if you do watch Anime in English dub
ОтветитьVery bery good stuff
ОтветитьHands down my favourite character in jjk. I didn’t like/love any characters even gojo when I was watching season 1, but I immediately fell in love with geto after season 2 first 5 episodes. Just 5 episodes already made him my favourite character.
ОтветитьThis is a pretty good character dissection video. I’m glad people are making this type of content. PLEASE KEEP MAKING THIS STUFF!
ОтветитьGeto = Magneto
Gojo = Professor X
i find it tragic that no matter how much geto extends himself to fight for others, nobody besides the exception of gojo extends a hand back. he was always expected to be this savior, and because of that he embraced that role because it was all he had. without it, he’d regret his actions and much more. even if gojo might’ve been one of the only people close to geto personally, gojo still looked to him for guidance instead of seeing him as an equal. geto was the brains while he the brawns, so he depends on geto to tell him what is right or what is wrong due to being raised in an environment where jujutsu is what makes up a person.
because of this, geto is left alone in the dust and in his conflicted feelings. i wouldn’t even be surprised if he felt angry or upset in some way every time someone, especially gojo, asked him if he was okay. when gojo asks if he is fine, like when he asked geto if he had lost weight in the HI arc, he knows that he cannot truly tell them his feelings because the facade and strong front he put up will shatter and he will lose that said savior role. even if he seems himself as lesser than gojo now, he still sees himself as strong in terms of ideals and righteousness. his ego, more like.
also, i’d like to add that i believe that geto does rely on gojo too. both of them rely on each other without even realizing. they needed each other in their worst moments, but they couldn’t be there for each other because of inner conflict and the interference of outside parties tying into their beliefs. they may not have been the strongest duo, but they felt the strongest together.
great analysis on geto!! imo he’s one of the most well-written characters in the entire story, and he’s the one who changed my outlook on jjk as a whole. looking forward to more analyzation from your channel!! :D
The hollow knight music in the background
ОтветитьAre we friends because we get no bitches? or
Do we get no bitches because we're friends?
He was the best boy
ОтветитьWhat an amazing video
ОтветитьMy favourite character from jjk. Because of is ideology and fashion sense.
