I don’t really think I could even ask my sister why she would choose a cat like Katinka because you just can’t ask questions like that because it’s hard to answer

You know, as much as it’s easier to say that you only just met that dog or the cat for one minute. It’s hard to explain. It’s like love at first sight.

You know, it’s very hard to explain. And to ask such a question it’s like asking somebody asking a child.

If they know how to build a rocket, or if they know how to run a business, you know how do on your own business and how to run properly and. You know children would not know the answer to that the majority of them would never know how to answer that question

Well, it’s the same thing as asking them how they know that that’s the dog that they want to take home. It’s just love at first sight that’s all you can say you can’t really explain because.

You can’t explain that like I remember I fell in love with one of my service dogs one time right away I came home and then soon as I saw her I hugged her so tight, so so so tight

And it was love at first sight and I still don’t know how to explain it and I am 31 years old now and at the time I was only like 10 or 11 years old. So that is a question that you can never ever ever ever ever answer you know.

We named her Katinka and she was definitely my sister’s cat. You know my sister was the only one that can hold her and carry her around in her arms do you know?

She would sleep on my sisters bed you know even when my sister went to college and when she moved to Alberta, that cat would be all the time and my sister’s bed waiting for her to come home

Do you know would be she was sleep there all day on her bed you know. And then, when she did come home, boy, were she ever happy you know she would be miaowing and purring and you know just all over her

But it was my sister that fell in love with her and they said that she wasn’t very friendly with people and not, but my sister was dead set on taking her home. And she was very determined to take her home.

So we did, and she lived until she was 18 years old. I think she was 18 or 19 years old when she passed so she had a very good happy and healthy life. I can tell you that right now.

I mean, how can you ask a child that? How can you even ask? Such a question like that to a child?

I mean like even my sister I remember my sister when she was like seven or eight years old we adopted a cat from a shelter

Wow, that Mom seems to be the problem. She’s like how do you know if you really love this dog that you only met him for one minute?

Well, I can tell you if anyone ever went to the shelter or even looked through photos on a Facebook organization that rescues dogs. You would just look at the picture and never mind meeting the dog you would just look at the picture and fall in love with the dog right away.

You wouldn’t even have to meet the dog. Do you know so yeah people that actually meet the dog to fall in love with them and less than one minute.

So how can you say such a thing? How can you ask? Such a stupid question like that?

Honestly, I don't see the point of making your kids cry over getting a puppy when you can just .. get them the puppy who they clearly wanted. If it's that stupid lesson of "You don't always get what you want", then maybe you should find them parents who could give them what they want. Ridiculous

Man i think the older girl might of turned out to be a cold hearted killer if she didn’t get the puppy!

This was EXACTLY how me and my brother acted 13 years ago when we got a dog. eventually, we got to our parents and we got the dog. years later, our parents thanked us because they really love the dog and realize we wouldnt have gotten it without me and my brother. the dog was unique, very chill, extremely small, playful, loved the couch, made a great lapdog.

To be honest, I’m a bit surprise when my little cousin was little she never acted like this. She will just listen to her mother all the time and I just realised she was a good kid. I bet no one else would be like that

I genuinely don't understand the point of reducing the children to tears for no reason! This could have been 100% pure joy all around. Instead the parents put the girls through misery for what? Kicks? Views?

"I wanted to be sure they were serious" isn't the reason, because dad was already finalizing the adoption.

Sweet children who lost some trust in their mother that day. Older sister called it: she'll remember that forever (and not in a good way).
