I had the first gen 638 Vito, the van was a solid unit, got over 450km out of it before it was turned into a Honda Civic after I got reae ended by a truck. Those diesels just go on and on and on

It is still a Metris (Vito in Europe) and not a V-Class which is a totally different league !

I've been in one of those, lots of cheap plastics and cheap leather in the interior, especially the wet carbon, which looks really bad at certain angles. The seat manages to be super uncomfortable and has no support, the ride quality of the van is poor, and the Metris is just a poor platform.

This van is what I imagine a 10 year old main character of a mid 2000s Disney Channel direct-to-television movie would show up in.

For $80k? Hell yeah! That's the going rate for a brand new 3 row SUV these days anyway... if I'm gonna spend that kind of money, might as well make my kids' friends jealous every time I drop them off at school!

Mercedes already does this in Europe from the factory. The Metris is called the Vito and the more luxury version de Viano. It doesn’t have the same high level of luxury bit its more than enough for families

"There' never been a Lexus minivan"? Look up the Lexus LM, doug. For a car expert your scope seems awfully shallow. And for the record, Maybach did make a luxury van based off of the V-class or known in some markets as the Vito.

LMAO I'm sorry but 80k for a mini van. I could buy a rust free savannah for like 10-15k, customize it myself for 10-15k and still have 50k left to build a turbo civic. Never buy a car with tech in it. In 5 years it'll be obsolete. This thing is too nice my kids would just destroy it.

Doug really gotta try and review the lexus LM or a Toyota Alphard, even tho it never came to America (correct me if I'm wrong), but the LM/Alphard is a minivan here in Asia that has a sticker price of well over $100.000 which is insane money for a minivan.. but that's why I want you to review it Doug, I wanna see what the American minivan user perspective would say to this insanely overprice minivan here in asia..

Wish Mercedes brought the V Class to the states…a proper luxurious minivan that fixes all the problems the Metris has
