I have a 2021 sapphire sandwich. I love it.
ОтветитьAbsolutely perfect....remarkable watch....the rose gold looked amazing, one can dream....really good of the ad to invite you in....🏴⌚🏴⌚
ОтветитьGenerally not a fan of rose gold Oleg, but boy that version is quite stunning!😱🤤 I like the white dial version too.👍🏼😎
ОтветитьThis watch is an icon, beautiful timepiece and really robust. I bought the hesalite version in 2006 and any problem since then. The new one is for sure a better watch talking about movement, finishing, bracelet, etc, but in my case, I'm going to keep mine. Thanks Oleg for another great video.
ОтветитьPlatinum! A new grail watch. I will only br able to dream about it.
ОтветитьGreat review as always. Speedmaster is a great looking watch.
ОтветитьVery cool, love the advanced technology and the bracelet is very nice.
My son Oren (8) has an idea for a Captain America watch. Similar to the Batman or the Hulk. Red dial blue bezel or a blue dial with a red bezel on a red, white, & blue NATO. I see 2 new Восток watches in our future, can you guess which 2?
Your AD seems to be the place
Getting all the precious metal ones
Thinking of getting the Sapphire case or a Planet Ocean
What’s your thoughts ??
What's it like to review a platinum Omega with a shotgun-toting sales rep standing 3 feet behind you???
ОтветитьThe platinum is the pick for my, especially with that dial! I'll have to be satisfied with my old 3572.50 for now though.
ОтветитьGreetings Oleg from a fellow Vancouverite! Love your videos.
ОтветитьI don’t know why this is but the Moonwatch sings to me more in a black rubber or nato strap. I know bracelet is always the way to go but…the feels are the feels.
ОтветитьIt would be nice if you could have mentioned the MSRP on these watches.
ОтветитьAwesome video I’m planning to get the sapphire sandwich moonwatch steel at the end of the year so I can’t wait 😬😬😬😬😬
Ответитьisn't the white dial white gold not platinum ?
ОтветитьMan, that rose gold version is sweet 👌🏼
ОтветитьI think that many of us were afraid when Omega announced the new Speedmaster, because touching an icon is always pretty dangerous... But they did a great job with this! Finally a great movement and the new bracelet looks amazing and super comfortable. For sure this is now in my wishlist.
ОтветитьThank you! You may not have a snazzy tee shirt or a war room, but I always enjoy your uploads Oleg!! atb snack.
ОтветитьThe first I've seen the rose gold, its beautiful
ОтветитьI like the flat bracelet like the ed white edition you can get them for about a 150 from seller's online with that haselite and the flat bracelet it really looks like a new vintage watch
ОтветитьThat Rose Gold is 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьOmega Tangomat (:
ОтветитьA great review Oleg (and Mr Bond of course who made this video possible). I like that you cut to the chase with this review, right away explaining the differences between the precious metal and stainless versions and again between the outgoing version and the new one. Whilst I do have a couple of Omega pieces I do not have a speedy moon watch. Even my brother who I rarely see spotted that gaping hole in my collection. Although a speedy moon watch will probably be a purchase at some point I cannot make my mind up just yet on pulling the trigger on the outgoing model 1861 or the new master chronometer 3861 version that also has hacking seconds. I will need to make my mind up soon if I choose the 1861. I must confess I'm leaning towards the new 3861 version, that movement with the large escapement balance wheel is almost mesmerizing on both versions, I would have to go for the sapphire sandwich to experience this view. Time to get saving. Thanks again Oleg and Mr Bond.
ОтветитьBeautiful as they are, there are far too many Speedmaster models. If there were 20 versions of the Eiffel tower or Statue of Liberty, would you care to visit all of them? 😜
Ответитьcool review
ОтветитьLove the Platinum, with the silver dial. Stunning.
ОтветитьBeautiful watch but it’s a Speedmaster NOT a ‘Moonwatch’. The caliber 321 were worn on the moon and qualified by NASA. The caliber 861 & 1861 were used in space on EVA missions and were qualified by Omega. This 3861 hasn’t earned the name MOONWATCH since it hasn’t been qualified or even in space…yet. Earn its mettle then it can be called a moonwatch imo
ОтветитьI wouldn’t confuse durability with scratch resistance. The hesalite is A LOT more durable
ОтветитьI think you mean white gold not platinum
ОтветитьCorrection, the hesalite version also comes on a nylon fabric strap and not rubber as you said.
ОтветитьWhy do you keep calling the canopos gold one platinum instead of white gold? Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьPurchased my sapphire sandwich a few days ago and love it! Had the 1863 sapphire sandwich and have to say the new one “checks all the boxes.” Also had the chance to try on the rose gold one and have to say it’s stellar as well! The best thing, you can actually buy these with little to no wait.
ОтветитьMan I really hated the outgoing bracelets. They looked terrible. And they continue to look terrible on SMPs.
President style or flat link are the best looking on Speedys.
hi Oleg, iam thinking to buy the canopy gold, what do u think as u seen it in person, does it look much better in live? tell me all u can i havent seen 1 yet
ОтветитьCanopus gold is NOT mainly platinum, I recall 75% gold balance mostly palladium, with small quantities of platinum & rhodium
ОтветитьThe stepped dial, chronometer movement, much more refined & comfortable bracelet, non ferrous silicon hairspring, and subtly more wearable case would make this a must for me. My choice is the Hesalyte: no sapphire shards in the spacecraft. Growing up in the 60s with the space program shaping my entire life this watch would be my one watch. WOULD be…My wife gave me the Hesalyte 1861 on leather in the iconic box on our 40th Anniversary in 2020. The warranty card was thoughtfully inscribed with our date by our local AD in Albuquerque, our home for 35 years. No way I’m trading it away.
So, have you and your fiancé set that date yet?
How big is your wrist for reference ?
ОтветитьThat rose gold one is so sick. Too bad its like $30k for basically just gold.
ОтветитьPlatinum... That is a $50k watch...
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I just picked up the new Sapphire version on steel bracelet and love it! Wondering what the retails are on the precious metals?
Ответитьoh the Sedna Gold is drop dead GORGEOUS.
but why do i feel that the bracelet is way too loose ?!!!. looks like it's been worn and stretched over a long period of time.
thanks . great review.
Omg the one with the white dial in18K Canopus gold is my favorite but so expensive 😱👍❤️
ОтветитьThe Speedy Pro (sapphire sandwich) has always been my grail. One day I'll own one, even though a part of me still thinks I have to be crazy to spend $10,000 on a watch (when my whole collection combined right now probably comes to about $2,000-3,000 at most).
Out of interest though for those who have picked one up, is there any negotiating room with ADs? It still feels odd to just walk in and pay that amount, given with my new vehicles I always negotiated them down a bit to close the sale.
Canopus gold is not platinum. It's 750 white gold alloy. It has some platinum in it, but only few percents.
Ответитьbut only 50hours reserved?
ОтветитьAll amazing watches. 9/10 can't give 10 cause nothing is perfect. Iconic watches that did precious metals the right way. Now they've hit me with the moonshine gold watches. Idk which one to get. But one will be on my wrist
ОтветитьCanopus gold is NOT PLATINUM....
ОтветитьOh man…that white gold one is dangerous to my bank account. It’s flat-out gorgeous.
