A song with a powerful message sung so beautifully by the phenomenal Dan Vasc! Thank you for reacting to it. As some others in the comments have posted, many of us have either gone through this ourselves, know others who have made it through, and know some who did not. One of my nephews chose to take his own life several years ago- he was in his early 30s.

I had avoided it because I knew that watching Dan perform this would be hard for me. And I would have been right. Not today. Today this is song everyone needs pulsing through their veins, that chorus fueling every heartbeat and the sound of those bells ringing in your mind to keep you on track and looking forward. It took me forever to get through this video. I had to keep pausing it a I couldn't see through the tears. Man, but this hit hard. I've been fighting these demons for long while now. Since 2022 it's got even harder when I lost 4 dear people. A dear friend, a niece and 2 sisters, one of whom committed suicide. There are days that I think I can't do this anymore, it's just too painful. What helps is listening to Dan's music. I pray for strength every day.

The song was very very good . First i felt like crying and by the end I felt strong again.

Dan the beautiful sole fought his own demons and defeated them, thank god he had the strength to stay with us! In doing so he has helped so many of us who continue to fight against this horrid thing. I know since I’ve found Dan he has helped me to keep going.

Another interesting video there don't recognize the song but Dan did a great job as usual there was moments of sadness in the theme that make u reflect of course with Mr Vasc's flair added to the mix another great cover.

As someone who has suffered with depression this was great nice speech at the beginning also.

Incredibly moving. I have a hard time watching this, because he looks so distraught. I think the numbers that he mentioned are unfortunately much higher now. And, as we all know, his voice and singing have improved so much, but he was so good even back then. The one thing that really strikes me is the scream, which I hear as thin and weak. I think it was the last technique that he mastered. Thanks, Viking!

I have PTSD. I am not from the armed forces, it is from the domestic war. Stand and fight..... this is what i had to do to protect my children. even at the cost of my comfort and sleep. I would gladly have nightmares so they don't.

Dan lives this song because he's fought his own bouts of depression. He knows how it feels. I've heard him talk about it a few times. This is such a wonderful song and his performance of it is amazing as are all of his songs. I've lost a cousin to suicide as well. So the tears were flowing for sure.

My sweet friend, thank you for providing info about depression. A year ago Mothers day my precious niece decided to end her life. I have never had someone close to me to end their life. This one resonates with a time in my life when I was so depressed that I planned to remove myself from the living. There was so much physical and emotional pain that I felt it was what I had to do. I fell asleep on my livingroom floor. God showed me infull living color what my daughters life would be like. It scared me so bad. I realized that I couldn't do that to her. When I finally talked to my daughter and one of the youth pastors I made a promise to her and God that no matter how bad things got that I wouldn't end my life. This all happened in 1996. I had one episode in 2017 when my second husband passed away. I remembered that promise. I will always keep that promise. Both of my children are my life. Even my grandchildren are important to me. Thank you Lord showing me everything. Thank you for my life.

Oh my God!! This...THIS!!... is my new theme song for battling my depression. And I swear Dan is my new favorite singer. Man!...His voice! Just WOW! I've battled severe depression in the past to the point that I wanted to unalive myself. It wasn't really that I wanted to unalive myself, but more of that I wanted the painful thoughts & feelings to stop. I had the place & day planned, but instead of going that route, I chose to seek therapy at the local clinic, & being I had no income of my own, they had a "sliding scale fee" (aka.. it didn't cost much). I will NEVER regret that decision. BUT, I know not everyone can do therapy for various reasons. But I hope those that aren't able to, can seek some kind of help... whether it be a friend, family, online therapy, etc. And for me personally, this song is so inspirational to keep going. Thank you for sharing. Oh, & by the way...LOVE your channel. 💕
