Hey Ray do you know if it is possible to match up the Assioma paired with a Time Pedal System as I have had two full knee replacements and Time is the system that makes cycling pain free for me. Any and all information is greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьI’d love to see an SPD version of the Assioma’s! I like the walk-ability of SPD cleats, but I don’t like the price of Garmin
Ответить6 o’clock paddle position can not hit road surface, it can in 12 o’clock position.
ОтветитьQ: Is the Favero Assioma power paddle compatible with Suunto 9 peak ?
ОтветитьExcellent summary. Thank you. Which of the mountain pedals do you believe is the easiest to set up? Thank you.
ОтветитьBest reviews by far. Thank you!
ОтветитьI have the Garmin V3 and they work very good!
ОтветитьI have had my Favero's now for right around 2 years and they are absolutely durable, accurate and the pricepoint the hands down winner given all other inputs to pick from as they are all fairly equal until the money aspect.
ОтветитьFaveros 100% - rock solid, good battery life, amazing price to performance ratio. The Vectors put me off ever buying another Garmin product.
ОтветитьI know these are 2 differenr types of power meters but would you rather buy the rally rs200 or power2max for shimano?
ОтветитьThanks for that informative Video 👍😎
Whats would you reccomend to a guy who uses different crank lenghts( left 175mm and right 165mm, because of different long legs) in Terms of a One sided or two sided pedal powermeter, as you have to choose one crank lenght during the setup?
Thanks in Advance and best regards
Julian
Great content as usual. As an aside, when I saw the add from steady rack, I wanted to comment. I have been using Steady Racks for 4 years now and they are fantastic. Have 6 bikes stored in my garage taking up very little space. Highly recommended
ОтветитьI have used a set of Assiomas since 2018 - they have been bulletproof. ❤ I do miss my official Shimano pedals though for foot contact. I also have crashed in crit races and broken a body but the spindle and accuracy remained perfect, all I had to do was buy a new body 👍 The only thing I would say, I love the idea that Garmin has introduced letting the customers adapt the spindle for road or mtb.
ОтветитьI have the speedplay's & love them! It would be nice to have the dynamics included but I love the ease of clipping in with a simple stomp!
ОтветитьAfter swearing I would never bother with power meters, I bought the Favero Assioma Duo pedals on the Look Keo platform. I LOVE THESE THINGS! Been riding them with a Garmin 830 about 8 months and can't imagine why I'd even trial anything else. I've been trying to talk myself out of ordering a second set so I don't have to swap them all the time -- not that it's difficult. It's almost more trouble to adjust for crank length than to physically swap the pedals.
ОтветитьIf garmin were half the price then yes, but at their current prices no way. Garmin pedals are unreliable, you may get a good unit and you're fine but at those prices I don't want to risk it. I definitely would try something else.
Ответитьso here is my question, maybe it's been covered in another video? What are the pros and cons of a pedal PM vs a crank-arm PM?
ОтветитьAny experience with how well the Garmin MTB pedals take the typical MTB beating? rocks, water, mud, crashes...
ОтветитьGreat video! I got Assioma’s, and mounted a Wellgo 01 spd pedal body on them. This way i spent around 430€ and got both road and spd setup
ОтветитьI have a classic Speedpedal(before wahoo) and then got a favero power pedal... I was a big speedplay fan but it is frustrating maintaining and may switch it to a second favero power pedal. good review.
ОтветитьLook cleats are garbage. I like the idea of buying the spindles and then the pedal body from Shimano. Question: can I use Dura Ace pedal bodies?
ОтветитьFor a trike rider who is just curious about power output, which is better, a single pedal meter of a crank arm meter?
ОтветитьDoes anyone have a comment regarding degrees of float?
ОтветитьAwesome video. Thank for all the information and clarity.
ОтветитьWhere can I get that t-shirt?
ОтветитьAwesome & Thanks :)
ОтветитьI want your shirt. WHERE YA GET IT TELL ME NOW.
ОтветитьHey man where can i get this tshirt please?
ОтветитьVery informative video. Where did you get the T-shirt? I think I want it more than a power meter pedal 😅.
ОтветитьWhy don't they produce one-side power meter pedal that is on the right slide instead of left. And even you got a right sensor pedal you need a left one to make the right one work, but then there is not need for a left one to work individually. Why do they need to make the power meter like that...?
ОтветитьWhen you factor in the depreciation of EUR, the Garmin pedals just double the price of Favero Assioma Duo. I can’t imagine why I would buy the Garmin pedals at this difference in pricing.
ОтветитьWhat about stationary bikes that include accurate power meters already? Show us some please or how to add a cheap power meter such as 4iiii to road bike on an indoor trainer so people don’t have to pay for swift
Ответить@DC Rainmaker: were the Garmin dual-sided (Keo) and the Favero dual-sided (Keo) priced equally, and you had to choose btwn them, are you comf sharing which you would choose? :)
ОтветитьWhat do you think of PowerPod?
ОтветитьNeed soma advice, i have vector3 single, to go dual, should i upgrade or sell this and buy Assioma dual? thanks
ОтветитьIs there any reasonable good option for flats?
ОтветитьGreat content. I’m never disappointed with your reviews.
I’ve would love to hear you do a comparison of single-vs-dual power pedals. Aside from the obvious cost difference, what am I giving up with single power pedals and when would it be worth paying for dual power pedals. Thanks.
Great review as usual! Did you have the same issue as GPLama with the Garmin? He mentions “unresolved issues with what appears to be residual torque after really hard sprints on the Rally RS”. I have a pair of assioma but I would like some MTB/Gravel pedals with power and Garmin seems the most valuable option. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe SPD-style Kickstarter powermeter pedal project from The Netherlands is still not out? After what, 5 years?
Ответитьnice T-shirt
ОтветитьMy garmin pedals read at 140watts when doing a 200watt effort. Tested against assimo and a crank based 4iiii (on a smart trainer) at 200 watts. Got 197 & 201 respectively. Garmin told me that 140watts is “within their expectations” which I think is dreadful. I could be doing 260watts or 140watts which really doesn’t help in my triathlons.
ОтветитьWhere did you get that shirt!?? Link please! Thanks :)
ОтветитьIs the weight a bit factor with Xc rally? With each pedal stroke, 1/2 lbs extra each leg. Especially on ultra distant and multi day bikepacking? How about foot support, need stiffer shoe to accommodate for less platform ? Thank you
ОтветитьI've put bodies from Shimano PD-M520 on my Assiomas and they work perfectly. I imagine Favero cannot guarantee that this combo will work with every shoe, so they don't advertise it.
ОтветитьIf the Assioma spindle version increases the Q factor by 10mm… is it significant? Do I have to think about it?
ОтветитьWhich is better...pedal base or crank base power meters?
ОтветитьSo, basically all the power meter pedals are good and accurate. At this point I don’t see the point of having a crank based power meter as it’s much easier to swap pedals in case you want to upgrade/swap a bike or have multiple ones. Also, I don’t see the reason for amateur cyclists of using road shoes and cleats as MTB (particularly SPD) are much more practical and walkable in day to day life and have a bit more wiggle room if bike fit isn’t perfect, without significantLy compromising power transfer. They are equally usable fo road and mtb. That’s why my choice is garmin xc200 (also, it’s seamlessly integrated in garmin ecosystem with all the cycling dynamics features). Would be really great if assioma also present mtb pedals to have more choices and competition in the sector.
ОтветитьDo you know if you could take the dual sided speedplay pedals and keep 1 pedal on my road bike and 1 pedal on my tri bike (effectively creating 2 one sided power meters)?
I've been a long time fan of all your work, Keep up all of the great review content!
Course, you CAN swap the assioma to xpedo mtb pedals too...
ОтветитьThe tshirt looks dope!
