Is it the same wooden block covered by a different paint each time or is it multiple blocks, one for each color?

ОтветитьThis is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьNice Nice,Nice! Thank you.
ОтветитьAbsolutamente lindo
ОтветитьIt's kinda strange to see him speaking English. I was like 'How could this craftsman speak English perfectly? Oh wait he's a Canadian'. I saw him several times on Japanese TV shows where he spoke only Japanese and explained the subtlety of woodblock printing, and I kinda forgot he was from a foreign country lol
Much respect for David. He started woodblock printing at the age of 35 and yet his enthusiasm and dedication made him a great artist
Was it hard getting Japanese citizenship
ОтветитьAnybody here who came because of "Ascendance of a Bookworm"?
ОтветитьKoreans do it better
ОтветитьHarikasınız
Çok çok teşekkürler
this gentleman gives me bob ross energy
ОтветитьThank you for nicely illustrating how each element of the process works 🙏
ОтветитьA fascinating introduction to a subject I am only just discovering. When the artist creates the initial drawing that is used to create the wooden blocks, are they thinking about how the layering of the translucent colours needs to be implemented, or do the woodblock carver and printer need to work together to devise the process needed to create the finished print? Does the artist create individual drawings for each woodblock, or does the woodblock carver work out how to create each layer based on the artists initial drawing?
ОтветитьHow does she keep it exactly in the same place between plates?
ОтветитьI had to watch this for my report and thanks to you, it’s almost done 💃🏻
ОтветитьI love the new direction Charles Manson has gone in! Awesome show! Great Job Charlie! 👍
ОтветитьDavid's voice, his talent and story telling ability make this channel so wonderfully relaxing and interesting. I fall asleep easily but never on David 😍
ОтветитьI am a printer. I run a Heidelberg 6 color printing press. I am absolutely fascinated by this process done by hand.
Ответитьoh my god that is BEAUTIFUL
ОтветитьI don't get it, all you do is make woodblock prints? Don't you get bored of doing that? I could never do that over and over again.
Ответитьthe carver is the real hero here
Ответитьthis is gunna be a dead art in 20 years. Gen Z wont put the effort into learning this
Ответитьwhat is that clear thing where you store the prints while you make a lot, whats it called?
ОтветитьWe digital artists still use this technique today, we call the sets "Layers", and sometimes even simple looking images can have a dozen or more.
But to see it done successfully and carefully on paper printing is astounding.
How can she align it perfectly???? 🤯
ОтветитьKeep growing 💗💗 i really like your drawing I am from 💖😊 India lot's of Love 💕😘 from India
Ответитьwow the color inside the lines matched perfectly with no overlay or missing space
ОтветитьI assume the pigment is sticky enough to hold the paper and keep it from sliding?
ОтветитьI’m here from the book ascendance of a bookworm.
ОтветитьI’m so blown away by what I just witnessed. How can I learn this medium of art?? My heart needs this! 😂 😅 Where do I begin? How can I transfer my art to Cherry-Wood to begin making my own prints? If anyone has any advice, please feel free to respond.
Thanks again for this post. New Subscriber.
