we all can relate too his songs and music. Look who’s playing lead guitar James Burton. John left us too soon.

My Mom taught me to play guitar when I was a boy. We lived in a farming community in a big house with nine kids. This was the first song I ever learned and performed in front of my family. Many times my Mom and I would sit in our old house with a fire softly burning, and supper on our cast iron cook stove singing this song together while I played. It shall always serve as a reminder to what what a loving old soul my mother was. I will never ever forget those special moments we shared...this song was written for us. Rest in peace Mom and thank you John Denver for bringing us this special song.

Few come close to John Denver,great singer,songwriter,performer,such a loss. This live version shows it all,and the great James Burton on guitar, just pure perfection.

I was wondering why the Tele sounded like a Strat, then I realized it was James Burton playing his own Strat-sounding Telecaster model.

Sad john is passed, the time is October 1997 my mum is in hospital brain cancer, I'm at work I hear news of John's death, my work buddy knows he says we're gonna go in parking lot at break and sing john Denver songs , true cross my heart

This brings back a FabTasTic memory of seeing John Denver at The Summit in Houston in 1976…!!!!

I was a kid when my dad would ask me to accompany him to business trips to branch offices he manages. And onnl these trios i ride shotgun and gets to play these songs. And this particular song i would wait to play on the casette player. Now my dad's gone, rest his soul. This song and some days are daimonds reminds me him so much.

Out of many favourite songs of his this has to be my absolute favourite. Beautiful lyrics conveying the best of human emotion and belonging. He was the best.

I just came back from Colorado where we visited Aspen and John Denver's Santuary. I took my sister with us and she too fell in love with the places we visited. It hurts to come back. 💔 we should live where our hearts are at home.

When i found the Wildlife Concert on cd and dvd, felt like I'd struck gold. We were blessed by his music and humanitarian efforts in the world. Miss this guy so much, was truly a sad day when we lost him. His music will live in our hearts forever. Thank you John 😢😊❤

One really beautiful, meaningful song. Sung just right. The backup singers do add to the feeling conveyed by the song. It appears that WVU sings it at home football games. The audience singing a chorus just impresses who lovely the song is.
