This is the kinda thing I love to see on lad bible instead of shitty little stories that have no meaning, I think Ladbible would be a better source if they shared these things instead of shitting articles that mean nothing
ОтветитьJesus he's boring
ОтветитьThey don't make men like that anymore.
ОтветитьAnd now David Cameron is back
ОтветитьFlying squad back in the day were more bent than uri gellers spoon.
ОтветитьOne of the best interviews on the channel. I wish it lasted more. If the guest can be interviewed again for more stories and shared experiences, it would be great.
ОтветитьGreat channel giving voice to so many interesting courageous people who deserve to share their stories with everyone. Well done Sir!
ОтветитьThis is the detective who led the Suzy Lamplugh murder inquiry
ОтветитьA real life Jack Regan
ОтветитьI think if Ex-flying Squad Detective saying:
"Bulgarian Special police unit" is very tough tall and wide...😤 you know! That some serious BREED he his talking 🗣about! For real 😂 what his whole in a life time in his service never saw something like that! Damn son i taught i can pass some narco in bulgaria now my views are changed😊
Did alot of talking without much stories. Maybe I just missed it.
ОтветитьThose final thoughts are pretty much the reason why I'm disillusioned with government/corporations; it's hard to want to be part of a system that gets mismanaged so publicly, knowing that whatever good you do is just patchwork repair for the long-term damages they're causing on a daily basis.
Ответитьwhen did Ellen Degeneres catch bad guys
ОтветитьMan speaks the truth. The voice of experience.
ОтветитьIm gonna mention the elephant in the room. How the hell did he lose half his fingers on his right hand?
ОтветитьI wonder if he knows Detective Inspector George Fenwick, Detective Sergeant Gordon Smith & Detective Constable Ted King who were on the front page of the People newspaper October 27th 1968....all bent coppers..
ОтветитьDecent man. I very much agree regarding cuts to public service funding cuts. I just wonder If the Bulgarian "SWAT" team trained for this sort of thing all the time, why would they need any advice on when and how to carry out an intervention?
ОтветитьThis man speaks wisdom. He’s seen it all done it all. The government needs to be held accountable for these brash actions. It’s saved a few quid (debatable) short term but will cost far more long term.
ОтветитьEspecially love the last two minutes.
ОтветитьAll that this man has done, seen, experienced and the only time he got emotional was the state of the country and cuts to vital services. What a hero, wish he wanted to go into politics.
ОтветитьIf we had people like this running the country we'd all be a lot better off.
Ответитьyou won't get them like that anymore. i'm glad he mentioned how shit this country has got
ОтветитьProper copper :) Old school
ОтветитьFlying squad are legends as is this man
ОтветитьIsn’t the first job he talks about the one that involved lee Murray?
ОтветитьThank you for your work
ОтветитьWe need more of this guy
ОтветитьThis man got it in one... cuts... cuts cuts cuts
ОтветитьSound guy with a unique story to tell Tougher than Nails them old school Coppers
ОтветитьGreat interview - Wrong about austerity though. The terrible Labor government before the Tories got it left the country in such a financial state that austerity was required.
ОтветитьIf someone’s had a hostage for a couple of days I doubt he would have the mornings paper of that day 😂
ОтветитьHe’s so right I remember those days
ОтветитьSo the Bulgarians saved him and then you went back to train then😂
Ответитьwhat a quality gentleman.
one thing i dont get though, i thought revolvers couldn't typically jam?
Bs they all had legs and feet blown off because the bomb was under the tube
ОтветитьAs we keep being told and the behaviour of the police during Covid-19.
THE POLICE ARE NOT HERE TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC. THEY ARE THERE TO ENFORCE THE LAWS!!!
False 🏁
ОтветитьHow is the full moon relevant?
ОтветитьFor more about the reality behind our modern-day police service, do read No Ordinary Day, the book that reveals the truth about the collapse of UK policing.
ОтветитьI could listen to this man all day . Thanks for your service👏🏼
ОтветитьOnly just started this interview and it is fascinating to hear from a Firing Squad police, even though he joined when they were past their prime (hardcore cops and robbers turned to drugs mostly long before him joining). But I wish you'd asked him more about that Gatwick bust, given that he mentioned the "intelligence" they had at least twice, as well as the security at Gatwick being compromised. This likely means that they had at least one informant in whatever East Laaahndan firm was behind this heist which would've been an amazing one to pull off and it seems unlikely that they would've been able to stop it without a grass/snitch/"covert human intelligence source"/rat or whatever you want to call them (the grass could also have been someone from a rival firm, as happens often too). But of course the sensationalist cases will always get the attention. No disrespect RE the 7/7 bombings, but it feels like more could've been learnt about policing from this interview if the right questions were asked. People don't realise that the police would be even more useless without informants, if you can even imagine that. Anyway, back to the interview.
I liked his message about talking it out with colleagues in order to deal with trauma. However, when it gets to the questions about Wayne Couzens, I find it hard to take him seriously. The Met is full of wrong'uns - all of the police forces are. This is a known fact. Dunno about the Flying Squad but look at the old vice squad in Soho which ran protection rackets and used the "services" on offer as a perk. Look at the amount of other police were exposed or how many people spoke out against the Met in particular about their nasty ways and don't forget that others were convicted or at least sacked, who were actually involved with Couzens if he was a bad apple then he was surrounded by another dozen of them at least and that is just one set of wrong'uns. I like this man and he seems sincere, even though I have no time for the police, but there can be no illusions about the facts that they close ranks, protect their own and only take action against themselves when something tragic goes public (Sarah Everard - RIP). Who is vetting them? Who has been vetting them since the start of modern policing? When he asks why no one went to speak to a senior officer, he knows that being a grass inside the police is almost the same as being a grass in organised crime! This is a part of how corruption is enabled, not to mention their "fraternities". Look at the cases of Daniel Morgan (murdered by the Met in Sydenham - case still underway, lots of covering up, mad connections between Masonic lodges and organised crime groups) and also Stephen Lawrence, with similar themes. And then look into the many that didn't make national headlines.
But he is absolutely correct about how austerity has destroyed public services. His rosy view of the police aside, austerity has destroyed lives, allowed for more opportunities for corruption and shows how the state is a complete failure, unless you are a member of the ruling class (which, unfortunately and ultimately, the police serve above all).
Love how he speaks out at the end
ОтветитьWe don’t mark 7/7 nearly enough. Hillsborough gets more remembrance.
ОтветитьThe Sweeney “yes gov” in Australia the equivalent was the major crime squad, heavily armed plain clothes cops take down the real villains.
ОтветитьThis guy is the definition of ‘a living legend’.
ОтветитьSpot on about police stations
ОтветитьYou tell he was from a time when society was better on the whole than what it is today.
Ответитьyou sir…are a real life superhero…it’s men like this that set the standards that the rest of us sausages must aspire to..and as long as we try, even if we only manage to acquire 30% of the minerals that this legend is made of…..then we’ve done well fellas
ОтветитьThe difference between Jacks and Bobbies is staggering. Intelligence, dedication and rationality
Ответитьwhat a man, salute you sir 😊
