Most excellent content, as usual, Mr. Newman. Unfortunately, acid rain is accelerating the erosion process, on every site, that is out in the weather. The square holes, on these blocks are worth more than glance. I used, sharp steel chisels, made for cutting steel, and a steel hammer, to try to cut a 3"x3" square hole, into a piece of Ozark granite. It was ridiculously hard to do, especially the corners. It took forever, and it didn't look very good. Maybe its time to talk about casted stones, that look like the real thing?

I don't understand why you are guessing at how high these blocks are . How hard would it be for you to pull out a measuring tape and give your viewers an accurate assessment .

We do not know what sort of covering these places had. Maybe wood was used on these to make a roof. All those holes in the rocks, it could easily have done so. The wood could have decayed many thousands of years ago or been burned.

The same as all the other places built by giants, why are all of the stairs in these sites built for people our size? Secondly, the doors are so large because they had people on horseback,camels, and in many places elephants that would enter those doors. Don't forget wagons too.😅😅😅😅

Thx for the well done video of this area. There's a few questions that always come to mind when seeing these huge blocks. First off, why were they so large? What were they defending against? There were no cannons or explosive artillery rounds back then. Only arrows and spears and rock projectiles launched from catapults. There doesn't seem to be a need for such thickness in these blocks. Also, why did they put the largest blocks on top of the smaller blocks? Seems backwards but apparently it's worked for the last several thousand years. No matter how you imagine that they made and transported and installed these 400 to 500 ton blocks with extreme precision, it seems impossible even if they had unlimited amount of workers to lift these blocks, because you can only get so many people in contact with the block even considering the lift poles jammed into the holes along the sides of the blocks.

This megalithic constructions are remains from the ice age, not so hard to transport this big stones with iced ground and mammoths to drag. To cut the stones perfectly you just need some gap where you put in some water during night the water that turned to ice breaks the block.
