Was very sad to hear the Muslim public prayer though, a reminder that these beautiful islands are under Muslim sharia law and do not have freedom of religion.

Bucket list...

The only two vacations we went on a budget, first one we got robbed by the hotel staff and the second we all got food poisoning and the rooms were mouldy. I can’t say I will ever have the courage to go in a cheap hotel again.

Ukulhas is nice local island, only down side lots of mosquitoes 🦟

The rate for a speedboat is 50 USD per person actually. There are 2 speedboat companies: Coral and Nevi, and they charge the same price.
Ferry runs 4 times per week, and travel time is around 3 hrs. As I can see, you booked the cheapest available option on booking. And it's only two nights.
Kinda surprised you haven't seen turtles, there should be a lot. Once you stay in Ukulhas, you should do at least manta ray snorkeling.
Overall, yes, it's possible to stay around 100 USD/night, but only during low season (May-Oct), not doing any activity, eat the most budget meal. But is it worth it? Especially with so expensive flight tickets.

Wow, I had no idea you could stay this affordably in the Maldives. All the advertisements in the US make it seem like the only option is the luxury option.

Last month I stayed on the island of Maafushi in the Maldives at a hotel I found on Booking for $31USD/night including a complimentary breakfast. This island was very nice and you could walk around it in 30 minutes. There was one bikini beach and several other pristine white sand beaches. Maldives on a budget is definitely possible!!

i will wait for your vlog to Balabac Palawan. I think your jaw will drop how to witness the so called 50 shades of blue in Canibungan island, also Onuk island is extremely turquoise. Promise it's different blue than other blue waters that you witness before.

It's sad to see all the development in the islands (4-story buildings as the drone showed) but I know every single paradise on earth has a short life span as more people discover new places, buy land, and build. It's happening in Costa Rica and Bali too. Great video guys.
