Has Bo Nix been the best QB in the country this season? 🤔

This was a comprehensive analysis of Bo Nix's growth as a player...though I beg to differ with the commentators assessment that his success is largely a byproduct of "easier PAC12 defenses." Other parts of this analysis HAVE'NT aged well either, as Nix has been even more impressive in his 2nd season at Oregon, and is now expected to be an early round selection in the upcoming NFL draft (contrary to the commentator's assessment that he's "NOT an NFL-level talent"). The cautionary tale in all this is that multiple factors determine the success/failure rate of even the most gifted among us: place, culture, system, fit - can all have an impact in setting the stage for individual performance. All too often narrowly-focused/unsophisticated critics tend to ignore those considerations when applying the arcane "busts" tag to a young person who's probably navigating the most challenging academic, athletic, and social environment that he/she will ever face in their life; and by the way...doing so while living away from home for the first time. I don't know what Dan Lanning, Tosh Lupoi and the current Oregon regime are doing differently but we've watched a number of (so called) "duds" become "studs" on their watch. 

As I contemplate the insensitivity with which we assess young athletes, I am reminded of the poignant words of Dave Chappelle describing the frequent mental meltdowns among Hollywood's finest,
"Maybe the environment..is a little sick!"

Y is he not a potential NFL caliber QB?

He had a better season this year, granted. But, he quit on his team at Auburn. His leadership is non-existent. He has athletic talent, but is too much of a prima donna to live up to his potential. Look for him to be a bust or at best second or third string in the pros.

Bo Nix went from more than likely being benched at Auburn and never playing in the NFL, to possibly being a late 1st-early 2nd round pick now! Dudes a future Colt!! Or I could see someone like McVay on the Rams or wanting him, as a project QB. Colts, Falcons, Texans, Commanders, Panthers, Jets, Titans and Lions are all teams that need a QB going into next year.. then teams like Rams, 49ers, Raiders, Bucs, Broncos, Steelers could all use a back up QB that could learn from 2-3 years or compete with the starting spot on a few of the 14 teams I named!

I hope he does one more year before he goes pro.... He'll be a top 10 if not the number 1 pick next year..

Nix won't get the Heisman, but he will be a great NFL QB. I just hope he doesn't go to a crap team.

No disrespect but he isn't even the best QB in conference, that would be Michael Penix Jr at this point, who is the statistical leader nationally

Bo nix is honestly the worst quarter back I’ve seen in my 21 years of life. He looks good because he has good recievers that make some crazy catch for him. He had to go to the pac 12 because the SEC was too hard of a conference for him with actually good teams.

I really hope Oregon doesn't go to the playoffs because nobody wants to see them get stomped out 🤦🏻‍♂️ in my opinion the real 4 best teams in the country is Georgia Tennessee LSU & either Alabama or Ohio state followed up by Michigan Ole miss and Oregon.. will the 4 best all end up in the playoffs? Probably not but Oregon already showed Georgia is on another level and I want someone else to get a shot.. I'm an Alabama fan and I know they have 2 losses but they was both on last plays of the game and by less than a touchdown put together.. and both against top 6 teams.. I still think Alabama is better than Oregon and Ohio state because they have easy schedules besides 1 or 2 games.. Bama just has a few issues.. they could have been better than they have been giving us but that's neither here or there I understand some teams will go to the playoffs because of there record but by no means does that make them a true top 4 team.. all the best teams are in the SEC with maybe 1 exception being either Ohio state or Michigan and they could either one easily lose to a Bama team that's having an off year and won't even be ranked in the top 4.. they will still give any team in the country a run for there money even with all there mistakes.. but I still think Georgia is on another level than everyone else.. after Georgia & LSU I would like to see Georgia Tennessee Ohio State & Alabama all go to the playoffs but that won't happen so I'd like to see Ole miss go instead of Michigan because Ohio will beat Michigan when they play and knock them off & Georgia will knock off LSU probably and TCU isn't crap.. and Oregon will get tf beat outta them too I think Ole miss has a better shot at the NC than TCU Oregon or Michigan.. so does Alabama/LSU even with there flaws

I am. AUBURN FAN and always felt bad for Nix, the expectations where nuts!!!! It be like Walter Payton's son playing for the bears or MJ's some going to Chicago. But he still can't beat a SEC defense yet. And that is his knock since he's left. I definitely don't the Georgia game against him. May only 3 teams can compete with them this year. But he needs to beat a Old Miss, Arkansas or even AUBURN

How many qbs have we seen at oregon play like gods in the pac 10-12 and then when they play one of the big boys from the east it looks like me out there at qb.
