Innovation just doesn't happen. A lot of smart people need to work continuously and be incredibly lucky.

If we look at the last 50 years, yes we have come a long way. But if we consider the advancements in the past 1000 years and expect the same level of advancements, we might not even become a Type 1 civilization by the end of the millennium. There's no guarantee the technology will progress exponentially. There's the same possibility that technology will become stagnant for centuries.

Well in Islam and Christianity, we believe Prophet Nuh/Noah lived for 900 years. So I don't see why the medical advances in the future wouldn't allow us humans to cure diseases and slow down ageing significantly so that we all live for centuries.

In reference to the singularity, as well as the Turing test (the test to see how blurred that line is) the greatest issue is robots surpassing us. We will soon be to a point where AI fails the Turing test, not because they lack the cognitive abilities of humans, but because they will so greatly surpass us. You would either have to dumb the AI down to match us, or you would have to uplift us through cybernetic innovation to elevate us to their level. An AI can memorize pi to 1,000,000 decimal points. So for humans and AI to be at a point they are indistinguishable, you either need to make the AI so dumb it'll only remember up to 6 decimal places like the rest of us, or you'd have to uplift us to be able to memorize 1,000,000 places ourselves.

While I'm a huge fan of new technologies, I will probably NEVER implant anything electrical into my body as I can FEEL the heat even when my phone is just in my pocket! I can FEEL the energy waves from Airpods entering my brain! So, I think I may be missing out, but there's no way I can let anything like that INSIDE my body!

Love these type of videos, so much of today's tech I've read about in science fiction growing up. As a child even if you don't understand all the science behind it the concept is planted in the brain. I was in my 20s the first time I used a computer, my nieces and nephews started in kindergarten now kids have programs like Baby Einstein. Just thinking about the size of the first mainframe computer, to a desktop, to laptop to cell phone in less than 100 years is amazing. And now we have gotten to flying cars. Just thinking about the future makes me so envious that I won't live long enough to see it all..
