Top 10 Hardest Story Mode Levels in Mario Maker 2!

I really enjoy Story Mode in Super Mario Maker 3DS too. 100 original levels by Nintendo that get tougher with progression.

I beat all levels as mario

To be honest I didn’t find March of the Rookie Toads that difficult and I think the 2 star difficulty is well earned. And this is the guy that struggles with Mario 3D world

if i were to make my own list, i would put "1-1?" as number 1 on my list


btw march of the rookie toads is easy if you use a star and take the cloud

#3 is literally a level from the lost levels

Stone of destiny is not that difficult. For the Koopa puzzle you don't need the stone. You can just jump on a Koopa to get a key. For the claw puzzle, you don't need to throw the stone at the claw and then jump on it. Instead, you can just place the stone under the claw, walk away, wait until the claw returns and then jump on it when it is wobbling less.

March of the Rookie Toads is a lesson for Mario to know how hard was for Yoshi to take care of him as a baby.

Thanks for making this video. My brother plays the Story Mode, so I tell him which levels to avoid. And yes, Airship Flight is definitely one of the more difficult levels in the Story Mode.

beat 8 on 1st try
beat 7 on 2nd try
beat 6 on 1st try
beat 5 on 3rd try (stupid level lol you just gotta take it slow)

I think it’s funny how while talking about the one in #10 he only mentioned the easy parts like having to glide down the airship with like 2 saws and having to climb up vines or jump on enemies instead of the practically unplayable clown car part(it’s a tight space where the floor and ceiling and walls are all spikes so if you touch anything your clown car will get locked in a loop of panicking in circles until you die from hitting spikes)

That toad level tho……ugh.

For this level at number 4 or 3 its so ANNOYING THERE IS SO MANH ENIMES YOU CANT EVEN STOP FOR1 SECOND 2nd reason I hate this is because the claustrophobic feeling having no were to go and I hate this 1-1 remake so MUCH

No jumping allowed should be number 1 in my opinion sure the other no jumps levels are hard but there later into the game no jumping allowed is still pretty early in the story mode so ur most likely not experienced enough to complete it

I don’t really have an issue on the no jump levels, but I have to admit that there some jobs that gave me some trouble.

for me dash on dash off was a bit hard but fub and not frustrating

I honestly found stone of destiny and chain chomp killer not that hard. But not easy. Just medium.

I did chain chomp chiller on my first try, I think the hardest one was the one with the screen scrolling down and you have to wall jump

The hardest one for me is darkness ahead Darkness below

To me, all of the levels are very easy for me, and I wouldn't consider any of them hard. However, the level that gets closer to that descriptor is World 17-4 (Soundfrog Job 1) Cheep Cheep Maze. Mainly due to how dark it is. There are so many moving cheep cheeps that move making it significantly harder to move through them. However, I am experienced with swimming and having fast reactions, so it's a bit easier. Cheep Cheep Maze is as hard as the levels get, yet it doesn't pose much of a challenge.

The para beetle ones were easy when i understood the mechanic

The speedrun levels took a bit to practice but they were not too hard

Hard ones that you missed:
The airship cannon one
The one with the fast-moving platform over rising and sinking lava
The first no jumping allowed one
The one where you have to get 80 coins while throwing shells in the air

So of them are impossible if you never figere out all to skills the dry bones shell

I think the hardest is the way of the shell

10. It was quite hard, not very hard. I have beaten it on my 2nd or 3rd try.
9. I did it first try
8. Summer Shootout? Oh, I didn't do Yamamura jobs so much.
7. I have beaten it with almost no time left. Also, the Thwomp part confused me.
6. Died few times, but wasn't hard. Also you can farm lives here :D Also I did the left red coin in Yoshi Ditching style.
5. I somehow beaten that level, now I cannot beat it beacuse of the Toad dying and being saved cycle. Basically, I save half of the Toads, but also half of them dies.
4. Died A LOT here, just do hardest puzzles, and then easiest.
3. Never knew there's 3rd Peach's job.
2. I failed the clear condition on my 4th try, like, I WAS SO CLOSE, POW BLOCK DESTROYED THE CONDITION, but 5th try I won.
1. It isn't that hard, BUT I STRUGGLED SO MUCH.

In one of the story mode levels, Nintendo Literally trolls you, I don't remember the name of the level but, There's a one way wall right? And there's a 10 coin behind it! But there's literally no way to get behind the wall.

THE FIRST YELLOW TOAD LEVEL IS VERY, YERY HARD BUT WEEGEE BEATED IT

I beat chain chomp chilly by cheats with wedges

frankly the only hard level here is summer shootout
