Yes what a shame he let himself down....
ОтветитьWell I liked the character he played and we should keep out of people’s private life’s.
ОтветитьThe poor sound quality of this spoils the show.😑
ОтветитьBuggernation Street.
ОтветитьHe was a disgusting PERVERT !!
ОтветитьPilot episode of This Is Your Loathsome Pervert.
ОтветитьHe was found not guilty at his trial. The reason Granada sacked him was because he sold his story to the press.
ОтветитьHis life completely fell apart not long after this was filmed. His wife died and he started drinking again. Not to mention the court case and getting fired from the soap. Seems like a genuinely nice guy here.
ОтветитьFame truly is a fair weather affair - whatever the real truth was, this was a man with a broken heart.
ОтветитьHe sold his story to the press and slagged off his co star's.
He was earning the equivalent of £150,000 a year during his 20 plus years as an actor, plus all the extra fees for appearances etc, pantos and whatnot.
Unfortunately when you are use to champagne oysters, dining out in the finest restaurant's driving a rolls Royce, and drinking heavily.
To sustain this lifestyle you need a very highly paid job, and if you lose it and can't get another similar job..
That's it.. Hardly going to drive a taxi or work on a building site, a weeks wages there is what he's use to carrying in his back pocket on a night out and giving away as tips
Peter Adamson could have remained in Coronation Street had he not leaked stories to the press. After his sacking from the street he gave an interview on the TVS programme ‘Regrets’ in the summer of 1985 where he discussed the trial and the aftermath, and also criticised Granada over his sacking. Granada didn’t show the episode and threatened TVS with legal action for using the Coronation Street theme and photos from the programme. No recording of the TVS programme exists and it would be interesting to hear Adamson’s side. I recall an interview he did with the Sunday People in 1994, looking rather dishevelled and living in a rundown flat. He revealed that none of his co stars from Coronation St had ever contacted him since his sacking and he wrote to Julie Goodyear whom he was close to a few times but she never replied. There’s a photo online taken in the 1990s of him wearing spectacles and pulling a shopping trolley. A sad story of a fallen star.
ОтветитьWhich Coronation Street actors did he criticise when he sold stories?
Ответитьmy mate many years back robbed is shoes in the change'in rooms at "rhyl sun centre baths " awful brown pair ha ha true that so funny
ОтветитьTerrible

ОтветитьIt was a great programme in its day but i doubt any of the stars of today - actually there are few stars left lets call them celebrities - would have a life worth watching - could you imagine - Katie Price this is your life - the mind boggles
ОтветитьHAD HE JUST ARRIVED FROM THE LOCAL BATHS GIVING SWIMMING LESSONS TO SCHOOL GIRLS? PERVERT!!!! I WAS EXPECTING A BUS FULL OF JUNIOR SCHOOL GIRLS TO TURN UP UNCLE LEN GIVES US SWIMMING LESSONS EVERY WEEK
ОтветитьFor me, Peter, Anne Reid and Thelma Barlow are Corrie's greatest ever actors.
ОтветитьBest swimming instructor ever 👍
ОтветитьBuggernation Street is great.
Why put this rubbish on here
Just think of this, the fake friends of Coronation Street ignored him when he was Down/Out in the early 90's. BTW, his character was much more compelling the Ken Barlow who seems to think, he is now 'The Spokesman of the Show'.
Let this be a lesson to anyone who is going into ShowBusiness - NEVER let a journalist ply you with drink, so you can slag off the show that made you.
Left the street to pursue his dream of being a swimming instructor.
ОтветитьI was one of the nurses that looked after this chap in his final couple of weeks.
ОтветитьHe was one of the top actors in the St
ОтветитьThe dodgy cast of corrie, those pants were a signal I bet ,let us not forget KEVIN
ОтветитьI can't help but notice how Johnny Briggs walks away, self-glorifying himself to the audience.
ОтветитьSeems like a tidy fellow, sad that not one person from the soap spoke to him after he was sacked although he wrote twice to julie Goodyear who never replied and worst of all not one person past or present attended his funeral,
ОтветитьJust when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...............Len Fairclough..........
ОтветитьNo Pat Phoenix
ОтветитьCoronation teet
ОтветитьGreat actor tragic Ending
ОтветитьSeems to me that Peter was treated appallingly by Granada and his co-actoors alike. Poor man. How sad.
ОтветитьThumbs up Peter.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ответить👍
ОтветитьSeems a low key and nice guy here but he was an exciting actor. I recall the scene where he and ken fight in one of the early episodes. He is masterful in this scene. He knocked William Roache out cold.
ОтветитьA great actor, a very nice bloke too. Love how Peter was smiling, laughing and enjoying himself all the way here. A true icon of Corrie. Rest in peace.
ОтветитьI thought he was a good actor he was a big character at a time when the show was getting massive ratings
ОтветитьHe had a great head of hair that’s for sure
ОтветитьThey all turned there back on him when the inappropriate touching allegations came out.
